A very warm welcome

to Cedars, we look

forward to working

with you and your

We start the day by offering

breakfast, which also gives us the

opportunity to catch up on each

other’s news and share any worries

or concerns. We offer toast, a

range of cereals and a selection of

drinks. Please let us know if your

child has any food allergies.

Our mornings focus on English,

Maths, Science and Reading and the

children receive specific adult sup-

port. Academic work is levelled at

each child’s individual ability and

developmental need.

Lunchtimes are spent in Cedars with

the ARP staff but the children can

access the playground independently

in Yew Tree mainstream. School

dinners are available to our pupils,

these are free to infant pupils or at

a cost of £2.10 per day. A letter

to activate a link to the online

ParentPay system is available from

the Yew Tree School Office.

Afternoons have a more creative

theme which are often linked to the

book we are reading each half-

term. We complete SEMH or thera-

peutic activities each day and dis-

Uniform

Cedars uniform is grey school style

trousers or a skirt with a white or

light blue polo top or shirt and a

burgundy sweatshirt, jumper or

cardigan.

For Outdoor Learning, children

should bring with them suitable out-

door footwear such as wellies, a

pair of joggers and a waterproof

coat.

For PE, children will need black

shorts, a plain T-shirt and pumps.

All clothing should be named.

Contributions

We ask for a weekly contribution of

£3 to cover the cost of cooking in-

gredients, breakfast options.
