During night the home draws power from the CEB supply. The amount of units or kWh are recorded in the imports account of the NET meter.
For example, lets say the house consumed 10 units. So this 10 units will be recorded in the imports account of the net meter.

In case of a rainy day the power output from the solar power generation system will be not enough.
Then only the required amount will be drawn from the CEB.

When it comes to the billing day, in the NET meter’s Export account contains all theexported units (generated by LakSolar System) and import account contains all the imported units. The monthly power consumption will be calculated as,
Consumed units = Import Account – Export Account
This can be a very low as few units or it even can be negative. In such cases the CEB offsets this from the next months bill. These negative figures can accumulate up to 10 years.
