● Initiative to develop and support systemic, district-wide systems and policy for the delivery of Linked Learning
● Pursuant to AB 790, CDE is authorized to administer the pilot programs and will facilitate technical assistance and other supports
● Delivers an academically challenging course of study that focuses on a self-selected pathway.
● Engages students in a project-based classroom learning.
● Provides a safe, supportive school climate in a small learning community.
● Holds a promise to increase graduation rates.

● Challenging Academics: Provides access to a challenging academic component that prepares students success in California’s colleges and universities, including apprenticeships and other postsecondary programs.
● Demanding Technical Courses: Sequence of three year sequence of technical courses preparing youth for high-skill, high wage employment by emphasizing real-world applications
● Work Based Learning: Range of experiences at different stages of the high school experience i.e. job shadowing, internships, virtual apprenticeships and school based enterprises
● Support Services: Student support services, including supplemental instruction in reading and mathematics.
