    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #2The County of Monroe intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for funding

    under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, a federallyfunded program administered by the state. The county is eligible for $69,000 of Fiscal Year 2012CDBG Formula Grant funding, and $300,000 of Neighborhood Revitalization Grant funding,provided the county meets the applicable program requirements. In addition, $55,000 will bespent in conjunction with the CDBG Formula Grant from the countys Economic DevelopmentRevolving Loan Fund (ED-RLF) as mandated by the Ohio Department of Development. OnMarch 26, 2012, Monroe County conducted a public hearing to inform citizens primarily aboutthe CDBG Formula grant program. Another public hearing was held on April 14, 2012 thatfocused primarily on the Neighborhood Revitalization program. Both hearings explained howthese grants may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important program requirements.

    Based on both citizen input and local officials assessment of the countys needs, the county isproposing to undertake the following CDBG activities for Fiscal Year 2012 with the approximategrant amounts:

    All of these projects are presumed to meet the Low & Moderate Income, Service AreaObjective or the Low & Moderate Income, Limited Clientele Objective.

    A second public hearing will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the MonroeCounty Commissioners office, 101 North Main Street, Room 34, Courthouse, Woodsfield, togive citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the countys proposed CDBGApplication before the county submits its application to the Ohio Department of Development.

    Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on June 11th to express their views and com-

    ments on the countys proposed CDBG Application.
