• TheCDACredential:NCCommunityCollegeTrack(CDA:NCCCTrack)isthenewapproachtoearningthenationalChildDevelopmentAssociatecredentialawardedtoindividualsworkinginearlycareandeducationsettingsbytheCouncilforProfessionalRecognitioninWashington,DC.

• CandidatescannowearnthenationalCDAcredentialbytaking17-18hoursofcurriculumcoursecreditsintheNorthCarolinaCommunityCollegeSystemandcompletingadditionalCDArequirements.

– IfyouwanttoearntheCDAcredentialforworkinapreschoolsetting,youmustcompleteEDU119,EDU153,EDU145(orPSY245),EDU146,EDU131andEDU184.

– IfyouwanttoearntheCDAcredentialforworkwithinfantsandtoddlers,youmustcompleteEDU119,EDU153,EDU144(orPSY244),EDU234,EDU131andEDU184orEDU234A.
