Cd cover and back analysis

Front Cover The name of my band is Dazed and the album name is Livewire, which is the song I have chosen to use for my album. I have positioned these names In the middle together where it can be easily seen. It is in a bold, white font so that it stands out to the audience. I have also blurred them a bit so it blends in with the background as well and looked hazy to fit with the album name ‘Dazed’. The main colours of this album cover are white, black and green and this works well with my indie rock/pop theme as black and white is usually used. Black and white can be used to represent a dark theme to the album. The addition of the green colour can be used to represent the nature aspect to the theme and growth of the artist as I would image this to be a debut album. The ‘livewire’ is in italics to make it look differentiated from the band name. Italics is used to put a stress on the word so it will furthermore enhance it to the audience. I have included the top of the stage, it cuts out the actual stage which gives some mystery into who the band are. This will make the audience want to find out more and The trees look like it is almost an entrance into the forest which is inviting the audience in. Also it is as if they are going on a journey with the album. The band are not pictured in the cover which additionally is a mystery as to who they are, this shows that they want to focus on the music rather than the people

Front CoverThe name of my band is Dazed and the album name is Livewire, which is the song I have chosen to use for my album.

This will make the audience want to find out more and consequently listen to the music.

The trees look like it is almost an entrance into the forest which is inviting the audience in. Also it is as if they are going on a journey with the album.

The band are not pictured in the cover which additionally is a mystery as to who they are, this shows that they want to focus on the music rather than the people and appearance.

Tray cover

For the background, I had a similar image to the front cover but it was blurred. I decided to use this as it would continue on the front cover. To ensure it wasn’t too similar I mirrored the image by placing the image side by side and flipping them.

For the songs I chose to list them with no numbers. This means there is no order or certain importance to the songs. They are in a bold white font similar to the front cover which continues the theme of the front cover and enhances the font to the audience.

I am thinking of taking some pictures of people for my band because they are not in the front cover so it would show the audience more about them. However if I didn't end up putting them in it would be mysterious about the band, not giving too much insight which makes it feel more about the music then the people.

In this version I have placed the barcode in the middle of the stages.
