The genre representation:Front cover

The lettering is quite bright and sparkly which connotes the characteristics of a typical pop artist. As well as the ‘$’ instead of the letter ‘S’ represents that Ke$ha doesn’t go with the norm and is a rebel.

The dark rimmed eyes that Ke$ha has shows that she has a dark side. This opposes the original bright colours that pop has however ties in with the fact that a lot of teenagers listen to pop and are stereotypically known as rebels.

The messy hair that Ke$ha has also ties to the fact that she might be a rebel and not a lady-like with smooth hair and she also has bits of glitter and dirt in her hair describing her as a rebel. This ties in the pop culture where they are classes as rebels.

Also, the one eye that is shown makes her look seductive. Her mouth is slightly open to grab the males’ attention, as it makes her look provocative. This tells us that the artist is illustrating herself as a typical electro-pop artist and she is a successful one.

Therefore this would attract teenagers as they are stereotypically known to be rebels.

The typology of the title is glittery and gold which would attract girls. Therefore attracting both genders will increase the amount sold. Also that metallic colours would stand out more than normal colours on a CD shelf.
