HIGHLIGHTED PORTS OF CALLBRAND NEW MAIDEN CALL –

PROGRESO, MEXICOBERMUDA

ST LUCIA

PUERTO LIMON, COSTA RICA

The port city of Progreso is famous for its 7 km wharf, the longest in Mexico and reputedly the world. Along the main promenade passengers will find a bustling scene popular with locals, who come to enjoy the beach with its fine white sand and emerald green sea. Take a seat at one of the many thatched-roof restaurants or palapas, and enjoy some distinctive Yucatan cuisine such as seafood soup, fish cooked in banana leaves or, for the more adventurous; ceviche de chivitas (river snail). From Progreso visit the fascinating Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and Uxmal, which offer an enthralling glimpse into the ancient, pre-Hispanic past of the Yucatan peninsula.

Passengers can find their view of the world here is distinctly rose-tinted as Bermudan sands have a distinctly pink hue; a result of tiny fragments of red foram (a tiny organism), coral and shell. If passengers manage to tear themselves away from the turquoise waters and soft sands, the National Museum of Bermuda can give them an insight into the island’s intriguing history, while Gibbs Hill Lighthouse offers a bird’s eye view of the stunning location.

Cloaked in verdant rainforests, its skyline dominated by the dramatic twin peaks of Les Pitons and its gardens a riot of hibiscus and bougainvillea; St Lucia is the epitome of a Caribbean paradise. Visit beautiful beaches, charming fishing villages and glory in the botanical gardens.

The largest city on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is a gateway to adventure. Home to a staggering array of wildlife and plants, the most compelling options for the passengers’ day involve the furry, the feathered or the floral! They could take things slowly with a trip to a sloth sanctuary, opt for an illuminating tour of the rainforest’s canopy in the sprawling 3,400 acre Veragua Rainforest Reserve or get their pulse racing with a zip wire through the trees. Closer to the port itself, Parque Vargas offers just the place for a waterfront stroll amidst its leafy landscaped gardens.

We stayed in a Queens Grill Penthouse. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. The dining in the

Queens Grill was excellent with superb service, the food was the best quality we have tasted anywhere, also the staff were happy to make whatever dish one requested, also, if we did not like anything on the menu they would bring an alternative. As I said the service was superb...

Two full days in Sydney gives plenty of opportunity to explore one of the world’s greatest cities. Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Olympic Park and Royal Botanic Gardens are just few options. Passengers can enjoy a night at the famous Sydney Opera House or explore further afield into the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley.

A late departure means our guests can enjoy a late evening in New Zealand’s former capital Auckland. Home to New Zealand’s impressive National Maritime Museum which charts the nation’s seafaring history.

Shanghai boasts the world’s fastest train, breathtaking views from the Jinmao Hyatt, one of the tallest buildings in China, or the Yu Garden. For guests who are in search of something more off-the-beaten track there is the historic water town of Zhujiajiao.
