Mission StatementTo empower people by raising aspirations and fostering achievement through dynamic, compassionate, and responsible learning experiences.

Lewis and Clark Community College insures equal opportunities are offered in the admission, education, and employment of individuals regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, color, creed or religion, national origin, disability, age, marital status, military status, sexual orientation, and other protected categories. Any inquiries concerning the application of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act may be made to: Gary Ayres, Vice President of Administration, Erickson Hall, Room 103, Lewis and Clark Community College, Godfrey, IL 62035, or (618) 468–3000.

Welcome to Spring 2015Well folks, the beginning of a brand new semester at Lewis and Clark is here, and that means a new selection of exciting courses for you to choose from. It means an opportunity for you to build upon the successes from this past year or even those of years past, or simply a chance to fulfill a resolution to yourself - the choice is yours.

Whether you are just beginning your career, a seasoned veteran of the local workforce or wishing to enhance your resume with current safety knowledge, skills or training, I am confident we will have the courses you’re looking for. If you’re looking for something new to try in the New Year, we offer a wide variety of personal enrichment opportunities as well.

Perhaps, as a new safety manager or one that may need some refreshing, we can help you get started on the right training track for your workers. If this piques your interest, please consider attending one of our new course offerings, entitled Developing Safety and Health Management (see page 8). Also, do you know that we offer auditing services for company safety programs? No matter what you’re looking for in safety training or program management, we have the ability to customize our courses and services to meet your needs.

An exciting new development for business and industry is that the college will now offer the same contractor programs as the world-famous Houston Area Safety Council (HASC). As a satellite location for the HASC, we are beginning to schedule The Basic Orientation Plus® and The Basic Refresher® for ARSC reciprocity with various plants and manufacturing sites. If you are in the skilled trades and construction arena, please call (618) 468-5787 for more information.

Finally, please keep in mind that our department can custom create or deliver any course for your work group, at your location or ours, exactly when you require. So if you don’t see one listed, please call us - one catalog isn’t big enough to cover all the supervisory, team building and other types of programs in our curriculum.
