• By reviewing the Body of Knowledge and working towards comprehending and implementing these practices, chamber professionals will be empowered with the essential skills necessary to be successful in the profession.

Step 2 - The EssaysPurpose: to evaluate the candidate’s written

communication skills

• Topic is from the chamber profession Body of Knowledge and approved by CCE Commission

• The two-page essay is evaluated by Commission & communication specialist

• Second 1-page essay outlining your financial procedures to protect the board’s fiduciary responsibilities


Step 3 - The Oral PresentationPurpose: To evaluate the candidate’s oral

presentation skills

• 10 minute formal presentation to a panel of CCE commissioners

• Presentation on primary essay topic• PowerPoint & handouts


Step 4 – InterviewPurpose: To evaluate candidate’s mastery of career

benchmarks identified in the chamber profession’s Body of Knowledge

• Interview with CCE commissioners• Highlights your role as a leader in the chamber

profession• Review of notebook materials
