The use of battery-vehicles for compressed gases is not included in the IMDG Code and battery-vehicles
are currently shipped under exemptions. Paragraph 7.9.1.2 of the IMDG Code explains that, consequently, the Code needs to be amended to

The SOLAS requirements for Verified Gross Mass (VGM) of packed containers became effective on 1 July 2016. To further support the smooth implementation of these
requirements, the WSC and ICHCA, in collaboration with shippers and insurers, on 27 June 2016, published a second set of frequently asked questions (FAQs)
regarding the SOLAS VGM requirements, supplementing the joint industry FAQs published in December 2015.
