Michael adaMSVice President–Corporate Strategy and Development, Constellation Energy

Mr. Adams leads Corporate Strategy’s assessment of new energy technology and innovation across the company’s business units. In his current capacity, Mr. Adams is responsible for seeking energy technology investments for Constellation which represent long-term industry growth opportunities and complement current business lines. Previously, he was Vice President and Director in Portfolio Management for Constellation Energy Resources (CER) in the Baltimore office, where he managed generation entitlements and load-serving obligations for portfolios in New England and the Southeast.

Marcie BlackCo-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Bandgap Engineering

Dr. Black has over fifteen years of technical experience in the semiconductor, opto-electronic, and solar energy industries. Before joining Bandgap Engineering, Dr. Black was a technical staff member–Applied Electromagnetics Group–at Los Alamos National Laboratory and worked on a variety of nanotechnology and optical systems. In 2009, Dr. Black was awarded an R&D 100 award for her contributions to work at LANL. In March 2010, Dr. Black was honored as one of the ten “Women to Watch in 2010” by Mass High Tech. Dr. Black earned her Ph.D. from MIT in Electrical Engineering on the optical properties of bismuth nanowires. Dr. Black has worked on thin film silicon, organic, quantum dot, and several other solar cell technologies and is the inventor of the Bandgap Activation approach applied to photovoltaics. Dr. Black has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 4 book sections, 2 patents issued, and additional patents pending.

aManda Martin-BrockChief Executive Officer, Water Standard

Amanda Martin-Brock, CEO of WATER STANDARD, has spent her career building and managing global infrastructure businesses and has served on numerous boards and received various professional accolades. She was named one of the top 10 women in energy in the USA by the Houston Chronicle in 1996 and she was named the under 40 Alumni of the Year in 2001 for Louisiana State University. She serves on the Board of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, and has served on the Board of Trustees of LSU Law School and the Texas Water Commission. Ms. Brock is regularly asked to speak and participate at global events including the Goldman Sachs Global Industrial Conference and the 2009 Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations Conference. Ms. Brock was also invited to participate as Innovation Speaker at the 2009 GASTECH Conference in Abu Dhabi discussing the energy/water nexus. She spoke at the 2009 US-Mexico Border Energy Forum, and the Women’s Global Leadership in Energy and Technology Conference and participated in the Global Water Leader Forum in Washington DC late last year.

Reflecting both her commitment to the environment and her concern over international water shortages, in 2007, Ms. Brock developed WATER STANDARD, a marine based water treatment company which integrates both desalination and power technology on vessels. In March 2008, Ms. Brock was responsible for one of the largest equity commitments for a start up in the water industry when WATER STANDARD received an equity commitment for $250 million to globalize its business. WATER STANDARD is now recognized as a leader in vessel-based desalination. At the 2009 Global Water Intelligence’s Global Water Awards Ceremony held in Zurich WATER STANDARD was honored with the “Desalination Deal of the Year” award in recognition of WATER STANDARD’s contribution to “redefining an industry” presented by Nobel Prize winner, Al Gore.

Stephen clevettExecutive Vice President, Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc.

Mr. Clevett is a recognized leader in the energy sector with over two decades of commercial transaction experience acquiring, developing, financing and restructuring projects for both domestic and international clients, as well as leading a broad array of merger and acquisition activities on both the buy and sell side. His credentials include key management, development and project finance roles in dozens of large-scale power generation projects with an aggregate value in excess of $1.4 billion as well as several well-publicized energy sector mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Clevett served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Optimira Energy Group, a leading energy services company (ESCO). He held various positions within the Bechtel Enterprises Group; including director of corporate development at U.S. Generating Company and President of EnergyWorks North America, a developer of on-site cogeneration projects for multinational industrials. Mr. Clevett started his career as an engineer for Hess Corporation at the St. Croix refinery.

Mr. Clevett holds an M.B.A. from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

aidan FlynnCommercial Manager, Carnegie Wave Energy

Mr. Flynn commenced his career in the Big 4 accounting firms working with corporate, high net worth individuals and government and non-profit bodies before moving into commercial roles in industry. Having a strong passion for renewable energy, Mr. Flynn has worked in renewable energy in Australia and South America. He has specific experience in international renewable energy projects, including acquiring resource rights, negotiating PPAs, obtaining project approvals, working with EPC contractors, and project and corporate financial analysis. Prior to working for Carnegie, he worked in the Run of River Hydro industry and the Australian mining industry. He has a degree in Physics as well as a bachelor of commerce and post graduate qualifications in renewable energy.

chriStopher gerMainCounsel, Bryan Cave LLP

Mr. Germain practices out of Bryan Cave’s London and New York offices with a focus on cross border financing, transactions and regulatory issues for major multinationals and financial institutions. He has extensive experience in the financing of alternative energy projects.

His practice areas include advising on the development and implementation of effective regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies for banks, broker-dealers, investment advisors, private equity and hedge funds. In addition, Mr. Germain regularly advises clients on various forms of financing transactions such as syndicated loans, structured products, asset back lending and project finance. He works closely with clients to develop financial products and services to fit the specific needs of a market segment within a particular jurisdiction. This includes working on complex equity and commodity derivatives, devising multijurisdictional share and option schemes as well as assisting with the establishment of prepaid card products across the EU in compliance with European directives and national laws on e-money and payment services.

In addition, Mr. Germain has substantial knowledge of the regulatory environment in which global financial institutions operate. He has advised clients on various transactional and outsourcing deals and has particular experience in addressing the complexities of global privacy and data protection issues as well as multijurisdictional corporate governance matters.

Educated in Canada, Mr. Germain obtained his law degree from Western in 1998 before joining Osgoode Hall for his required training and admission to the bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2000. Mr. Germain also holds a bachelor of arts degree, having graduated with distinction, from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Germain practiced with major international law firms working out of Toronto, New York and London as well as having been a member of the Citigroup Global General Counsel’s Office. Having published articles in the past regarding intra-EU financing, issuing securities in the United States and privacy and data protection compliance for financial institutions, Mr. Germain is currently collaborating with his colleague Stephen Ball in publishing a guide to international laws and regulations governing hedge funds.

kenneth henderSonPartner, Bryan Cave, LLP

Kenneth Henderson’s corporate and securities transactional experience is focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings and domestic and international joint ventures.

In addition to his substantial transactional practice, Mr. Henderson provides day-to-day corporate, securities, governance and business law advice to publicly held and privately owned business clients in the United States and abroad in a variety of industries, including fund managers and family office structures and companies in the financial services, technology and services industries.

Mr. Henderson is active in community and pro bono matters. He was responsible for organizing the firm’s mentor relationship with Thomas Jefferson High School in East New York, Brooklyn. He is past chairman of and counsel to the Board of Directors of PCI-Media Impact, a New York-based non-profit corporation with activities in developing countries throughout the world.

As vice president of national accounts and vertical markets, Ms. Izzi is responsible for developing and managing CPower’s national accounts and industry-focused vertical businesses in key segments such as healthcare, education, retail and government. Ms. Izzi joined CPower in 2004. She is a frequent speaker at industry events such as PLMA, EUCI, DistribuTECH, FEMP and TFM.

Ms. Izzi has 18 years of experience in general management, marketing, product management, international business development, strategy, and change management. She has developed, launched, and managed new products and services in the consumer products, professional services, and non-profit sectors across the United States and Asia. Ms. Izzi speaks Mandarin Chinese, holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School.

JoSeph kaveSki Chief Executive Officer, Energy Focus, Inc.

Prior to joining Energy Focus in April 2008, Mr. Kaveski founded TGL Company, a strategic consulting business focused on the energy efficiency and lighting industries. Before founding TGL Company, Mr. Kaveski was the Vice President of Energy Management Services & Strategic Projects for Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) and a member of JCI’s Controls Group senior management team. In his role, he was responsible for JCI’s global leadership in energy services and high

performance green buildings initiatives. His teams developed and implemented solutions for clients that leveraged the structured finance, construction, operations, maintenance, energy efficiency and environmental expertise of JCI.

Mr. Kaveski has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri Columbia / Kansas City Coordinated Engineering Program.

thor ketzBackCounsel, Bryan Cave LLP

Thor Ketzback concentrates his nationwide practice in all areas of environmental and health and safety law, with a specific focus on Clean Air Act (CAA) counseling, permitting and litigation. Utilizing his environmental background in private practice and government service, he has served as environmental counsel for a wide array of clients including those within the energy, manufacturing, chemical and food production sectors.

Mr. Ketzback’s CAA practice routinely involves counseling, permitting and litigation matters relating to the New Source Review (NSR), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs or MACT) and other complex CAA programs. His also advises clients on new and emerging CAA and environmental programs relating to Climate Change, sustainability and market-based regulatory mechanisms.

Mr. Ketzback also represents a diverse spectrum of alternative and renewable energy clients, including projects in the following sectors: co-generation and biomass, independent power producers, waste to energy, coal to liquid, ethanol, bio-diesel, district heating and cooling, and wind. His work in this arena involves all aspects of environmental and general legal counseling, including performing due diligence, securing permits, interfacing with potential investors, the general public, and political stakeholders, coordinating public communications strategies, and developing regulatory compliance strategies.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Ketzback was an Associate Regional Counsel with the EPA where he advised the Regional Administrator on various issues related to multi-media federal environmental law enforcement, compliance and permit issuance. As an attorney for the EPA, he worked extensively on the coal-fired power plant initiative which involved complex litigation surrounding the applicability of NSR and NSPS to the electric utility industry. Additionally, he conducted enforcement actions involving all environmental media and developed policies and strategies relating to CAA and brownfield programs.

edward i. kochPartner, Bryan Cave LLP and former Mayor of New York City

Edward Koch practices in the regulatory area. Following his tenure as the mayor of the city of New York for three terms from 1978-1989, Mr. Koch returned to law practice. His career in government began in 1966 when he was elected to the New York City Council. In 1968, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served on the House Committee on Banking and the Appropriations Committee. He also was secretary of the New York Congressional Delegation.

Mr. Koch has written several autobiographical books, including: Mayor, 1984; Politics, 1985; His Eminence and Hizzoner, 1989; All the Best: Letters from a Feisty Mayor, 1990; Citizen Koch, 1992; Ed Koch on Everything, 1994; Giuliani: Nasty Man, 1999; I’m Not Done Yet: Remaining Relevant, 2000; .Buzz: How to Create It and Win with It, 2007 and The Koch Papers: My Fight Against Anti-Semitism, 2008. Mr. Koch hosts a Friday radio program on Bloomberg AM 1130 (WBBR) and is also a commentator on that same station. He is a weekly guest on NY1 television and each week writes a political column and movie reviews. He lectures around the country and overseas. Mr. Koch appeared daily on the television series “The People’s Court” from 1997 to 1999 as the judge.

angelique MercurioVice President, Cora Capital Advisors

Angelique Mercurio is a Vice President with Cora Capital Advisors. Angelique has more than seven years experience in the financial industry, most recently within energy and environmental commodities.

Prior to joining Cora, Ms. Mercurio served as an Assistant Vice President of Commodities at Barclays Capital, where she was responsible for developing the firm’s US Environmental Markets platform. As an energy and climate change specialist, Ms. Mercurio played a key role in expanding the firm’s US environmental policy advisory business. In addition, Ms. Mercurio was an Associate in Barclays’ Capital Markets group during the summer of 2007.

During business school, Ms. Mercurio worked as a carbon market consultant for Core Carbon Group, a carbon offset credit developer in Moscow. Prior to that, she served as an Equity Research analyst on an Institutional Investor-ranked team covering technology companies for three years at Citigroup Investment Research, and an Analyst at the Harbert Convertible Arbitrage Fund. In addition, Ms. Mercurio worked as an investment banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. and Lazard Freres during college.

patrick o’SheaVice President, Cora Capital Advisors

Mr. O’Shea has over a decade of Investment Banking, Venture Capital and Asset Management experience. He has helped raise more than $11.5 billion of capital for his clients over the course of his career.

Prior to joining Cora Capital, Mr. O’Shea was a Vice President in JPMorgan’s Investment Banking division, where he focused on advising financial institutions. Mr. O’Shea was most recently headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, but was previously based out of New York.

Prior to joining JPMorgan’s Investment Banking division, Mr. O’Shea worked in both JPMorgan’s Asset Management and Venture Capital (LabMorgan) divisions. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he was part of the Investment Banking analyst training program at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he concentrated on technology and telecommunications companies.

Mr. O’Shea graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he majored in International Economics with a background in Finance and Trade.

peter vanderMeulenChief Executive Officer and Founder, 7Solar Technologies, Inc.

Peter Vandermeulen has recently started 7Solar Technologies, Inc., a company that provides Solar Air Conditioning systems for Commercial and Industrial buildings. Previously, Peter founded BlueShift Technologies (a robotics company) to introduce the use of continuous flow automation to the semiconductor industry. He raised over $20M for BlueShift and closed a venture capital “A” round during his last class at Babson College. Prior to BlueShift, Peter was VP, GM of Brooks Automations’ Factory Interface Systems, and ran marketing and sales for their Vacuum Systems Businesses Unit which he helped grow from $2.5M to $60M in 4 years. He developed the E500 Ion Implanter at Varian Ion Implant Systems, which resulted in sales of over $2.4B and more than 800 units installed worldwide.

Peter has a background in physics (MS Eindhoven University) and business administration (MBA Babson College) and holds 9 US patents. He lives with his wife and daughter in Newburyport, MA.

aaron walterSChief Financial Officer, Recycled Energy Development

Aaron Walters brings more than ten years experience in the financial services industry, focused broadly throughout the capital markets. Prior to joining RED, Mr. Walters served as vice president at Lazard Freres & Co. LLC, covering the financials, health care, and technology sectors for Lazard’s large-cap and small-cap growth equity funds. In addition to his portfolio responsibilities on both products, Mr. Walters was also involved with the fundraising side of the business, making presentations to institutional investors, pension and endowment funds, plan sponsors, and the consulting community. Mr. Walters came to Lazard in 2005, when it acquired his predecessor firm, Knelman Asset Management Group (KAMG), which Mr. Walters co-founded in 2000.

While at KAMG, Mr. Walters was intimately involved in the venture capital investing that the firm did for its high-net worth clients, including the identification, evaluation, due diligence, investing, and management of the firm’s direct venture investments.

Prior to becoming a co-founder of KAMG, Mr. Walters spent two years as an analyst at Morgan Stanley working on the buy-side as a fixed-income generalist (in both products and industries). His responsibilities included credit analysis of bond issues as potential investments to be added to the firm’s institutional fixed income products.

Mr. Walters holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is a CFA charter holder, and member of the CFA Institute (CFAI).

edward wuSenior Managing Director, Cora Capital Advisors

Mr. Wu is a Senior Managing Director of Cora Capital Advisors, with over 13 years of finance and investment expertise, having garnered significant experience in leadership roles from a range of top investment banking and hedge fund firms.

Prior to co-founding Cora Capital, Mr. Wu served as Managing Director of the Capital Structure and Convertible Arbitrage Fund at Harbert Management Corp., a $20 billion alternative asset management firm consisting of private equity, real estate and hedge fund strategies. He had previously managed risk arbitrage and distressed credit hedge fund portfolios at Reservoir Capital Group LLC (a $4 billion private equity, hedge fund seeder and special situation strategies hedge fund) and Couchman Capital LLC. At Couchman, he also served on numerous Ad Hoc and Official Creditor/Bondholder and Equityholder Committees for Chapter 11 reorganizations.

Prior to hedge fund portfolio management, Mr. Wu served as an M&A investment banker and restructuring advisor for a total of approximately seven years at Salomon Smith Barney Inc., CRT Capital Group and Merrill Lynch & Co. During his tenure, he advised on over 20 completed transactions for companies with a total enterprise value of greater than $15 billion in aggregate. He completed transactions as a generalist investment banker in a range of industries and transaction types, including cash and stock mergers, divestitures, LBO’s for private equity sponsors, distressed restructurings, Section 363 asset sales, Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganizations, IPO’s and follow-on offerings.

Mr. Wu graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with an A.B. in English Literature and received a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Despite having lived in New York City for approximately the past 12 years, he enjoys all outdoor activities and sports, including snowboarding/skiing, hiking, swimming and running. He is also an active supporter of the performing and fine arts in NY, as a sponsor of The Juilliard Club and the Museum of Modern Art.
