TENANT SERVICESCBRE CAMBODIA

The retail markets throughout Asia have grown at an astounding pace over the past decade. The speed of development and new retailers entering the market has in some respects outrun the real estate advice industry. With smaller teams and a surging shopping centre pipeline, the market norm has been for real estate consultants to focus their attention on leasing landlord’s new malls.

The downside of this is for the retailer who has to negotiate their way through a complex and opaque market, speaking to every consultant and landlord, and with limited research information to ensure themselves that their chosen strategy is the right one. CBRE has the world’s leading retail agency team with around 1,000 professionals working in every major market across the globe. Retailer Representation is an essential component of that global business and there was an obvious gap in the market; a team of professionals based in Asia focusing purely on the interests of the retailer. The team, based in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kula Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City ‐ and from 2014 in Phnom Penh ‐ are supported by the local teams in all the major cities where CBRE have offices throughout Greater China, North and South East Asia numbering around 150 retail professionals. This support varies dependant on the demands and characteristics of the retailer and this is further explained in the following pages. Our Retailer Representation service extends beyond Asia; with our vast network of offices globally we can seamlessly assist retailers in major retail destinations such as New York London, Buenos Aires, Sydney etc.
