Systems Analysis for Construction Engineers Course Information Title: System Analysis for Construction Engineers Code: CB312 Hours: Lectures: 2 Tutorial: 2 Credit: 3 Pre-requisites: CC413 Numerical Methods AB329 Probability and Statistics Lecturer: Dr. Emad Elbeltagi E-mail: [email protected], [email protected] Homepage: http://osp.mans.edu.eg/elbeltagi Course Description Introduction to mathematical models – The formulation of the linear programming models – Solving of linear programming models using the graphical solution method – The simplex method – The transportation and assignment problem – Decision making under uncertainty, utility function – Resource allocation, minimum cost model, sensitivity analysis, change in unit cost, change in resource constraints. Course Objectives The course aims at introducing the students to the fundamentals of systems analysis and its application in construction engineering.
