DescriptionEach pole of the relay is phase segregated and operates independentlyvia its level detector and interface area. The provision of the interfacearea allows for the factory fitting of output relays to the customer’srequirements. With this flexibility the interface area relays can bemanufactured with up to 9 change- over contacts, connected as phasesegregated groups of three, or as three phase outputs. The standardarrangement is with 4 normally open output contacts.
Each level detector initiates a time delay, set by the user, which delaysoperation of the output relay. This can be set to zero for instantaneousoperation.
Applications
Type 2DAB relay meets the requirements for current check relaying ina circuit breaker fail scheme or may be used to monitor current flowprior to sequence switching; e.g. mesh corner schemes. The 2DABcurrent check relay detects the circuit breaker failure to trip and toensure discrimination has a fast reset time and a minimum overshoottime.
