Table 1 shows that the City of Dasmariñas recorded the highest live births with a total of 792 registrations. It was followed by City of Bacoor with 768, Trece Martires City with 474, City of Imus with 418, and City of General Trias with 379. On the other hand, the municipality of Ternate recorded the lowest live births with a total of 10

registrations. It was followed by Mendez with 19, Alfonso with 27, Indang with 32, and Magallanes and Maragondon both having 34 registered live births.

Figure 1 shows that the total live births was comprised of 2,428 male births and 2,204 female births. Thus, male births exceeded female births by 224.

FIGURE 2: June 2021 Total Registered Live Births by Legitimacy Status Figure 2 shows that 3,126 or 67.49% were illegitimate while 1,506 or 32.51% were legitimate. Thus, majority of the childs’ parents were not yet married to each other at the time of the child’s birth.

Figure 3 shows that out of 4,632 total registered live births, 3,682 or 79.49% were timely registered and 950 or 20.51% were late registered. This implies that majority were recently born or registered within 30 days from the date of the child’s birth.

Figure 4 shows that 2,157 births (1,134 males and 1,023 females) were attended by physician; 124 births (69 males and 55 females) were attended by nurse; 1,833 births (968 males and 865 females); 510 births (255 males and 255 females) were attended by hilot / unlicensed midwife; and 8 births (2 males and 6 females) were attended by others. Thus, physician was the most common attendant at birth.

Figure 5 shows that 3,965 babies consisting of 2,095 males and 1,870 females were born on a health facility and 661 consisting of 332 males and 329 females were born at home. However, there was no place of birth indicated on the documents of the 6 babies, 5 of which were females and 1 was a male.

Birth Statistics Summary:

Four thousand six hundred thirty-two (4,632) live births were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of July 2021. In comparison to the previous month, this was higher by 68 live births.

As shown on Table 1, the City of Dasmariñas surpassed the other cities and municipalities with regards to the number of registered births. Although the city’s recorded live births for this reference period was lessened by 47 as compared to its record on the month of June, it still covered the largest portion which is 17% of the registration.

On Figure 1, it was shown that majority of live births were male and on Figure 2, it was revealed that illegitimate babies covered more than half of the total live births, implying that pregnancy before marriage is really becoming the norm nowadays.

With regards to the registration status, as shown on Figure 3, timely registration took up the larger portion in contrast to late registration. However, the rate of late registered births increased by 1.51% for this month. As presented on Figure 4, physician is still the most common attendant at birth in the province covering 46.57% of total live births. In relation to that, on Figure 5, it was shown that majority of babies, whether male or female, were born on health facility implying that health care centers or clinics are accessible to citizens of Province of Cavite.

Table 2 shows that the top city with the highest registered marriages is the City of Imus having 115 marriages. Second was the municipality of Silang with 110 marriages. Third was Tagaytay City with 100, followed by City of Dasmariñas with 97 and Alfonso with 64 marriages. On the contrary, the municipality with the lowest registered marriages is General Emilio Aguinaldo having recorded only 5 marriages. It was followed by Ternate with 7 then Magallanes, Maragondon and Rosario, having, 10, 12, and 15 marriages respectively.

Figure 6 shows 977 equivalent to 97.70% of total marriages for the month were timely registered while only 23 equivalent to 2.30% were late.

Figure 7 shows that 244 marriages took place at the Church; 475 took place at the Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like; and 281 took place on other places besides those previously mentioned including house and mosque.

Figure 8 shows that 241 marriages were Roman Catholic Church wedding; 474 were Civil wedding; and 285 were other religious rites. There was no registered marriage under Muslim and Tribal wedding.

Marriage Statistics Summary: One thousand (1,000) marriages were recorded for the month of July 2021 in the Province of Cavite. This was lesser by 199 compared to last month’s marriage registration. For the reference period, the city with the greatest number of registered marriages was the City of Imus covering 11.50% of total marriages. It stood over the municipality of Silang which was 1st on the rank on the previous month of June. With regards the registration status, as shown on Figure 6, the larger part embodied the timely registered. Even though the number of those timely was higher than that of late, similarly with the registration status at birth, the rate of late registrations on marriages also increased. As to the place type which was shown on Figure 7, majority of marriages occurred at the Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like which made up the 47.50% of total marriages. On Figure 8, it was conveyed that Civil Wedding still dominates as the most common type of ceremony. For this period, it was higher by 233 compared to Roman Catholic Church Wedding and by 189 when differentiated to other religious rites.

Table 3 shows that the city with the highest number of registered deaths was the City of Dasmariñas having recorded 447 deaths. Next was the City of Imus with 308, City of Bacoor with 286, City of General Trias with 240, and Trece Martires City with 200 deaths. Conversely, the top 5 municipalities with the lowest number of registered deaths were as follow: General Emilio Aguinaldo (10), Magallanes (14), Mendez (16), Ternate (22) and Amadeo (26).

Figure 9 shows that 1,192 equivalent to 46.02% were female deaths while 1,398 or 58.98% were male deaths. Thus, greater number of deaths occurred on male than female.

Figure 10 shows that 2,531 or 97.72% of total deaths in the province were timely registered while 59 or 2.28% were late. This implies that majority were recent fatalities and registered within 30 days from the date of death.

Figure 11 shows that 829 deaths consisting of 452 males and 377 females occurred at the hospital; 1,759 deaths consisting of 945 males and 814 females took place at their own house or home. One of the remaining 2 was a male, and it occurred on place other than hospital and home. The other one was a female and the place of her death was not stated in the document.

Figure 12 shows that 356 deaths were attended by private physician; 424 were attended by public health officer; 488 were attended by hospital authority; 1,271 were attended by none; and 51 were attended by others.

Death Statistics Summary:

Two thousand five hundred ninety (2,590) deaths had been recorded in the Province of Cavite for July 2021. This number was higher by 210 in comparison to the recorded 2,380 deaths for the month of June. The highest number of registered deaths still came from City of Dasmariñas with 447 fatalities as shown on Table 3. This was lesser by 15 when differentiated to 462 registered deaths in the city last month. Oppositely the lowest registered deaths came from the municipality of General Emilio Aguinaldo. Previously, it was Ternate which got the least deaths with a total count of 10, but for this period, it reported 22 deaths implying that number of deaths had significantly increased in the said municipality.

On Figure 9, it was shown that sex of the deceased was mostly male. Statistically, male deaths outnumbered female deaths by 206. With regards to registration status, as presented on Figure 10, greater portion was timely registered. From 96.60% timely registrations last month, it became 97.72% for this period. Hence, it increased by 1.12%. As presented on Figure 11, most fatalities occurred on their own house or home comprising 67.92% of total deaths in the province and this was the reason why majority were attended by none, as shown on Figure 12.
