11 B (Copy everything in the notebook except for the rubric that must be printed) Theme: Prehistoric Era Cave paintings Objectives: Thursday • The student will organize all the art materials in the classroom. • Search the internet for one of Cave paintings from the list. • Locate the region of the Cave Paintings and the approximate date of it. • Create a Cave Painting using the original version of your research. Friday • The student will write on a card the name of the cave depicted in the drawing. • Mention the characteristics of the chosen cave painting (according to the cave investigated) • Explain the possible reasons or significant representations of the painting for the prehistoric times. • Illustrate the painting on the cardboard. Directions: Thursday • Search the Internet for the following caves and choose the one you want to paint: 1. Cueva de las Manos, en Santa Cruz (Patagonia Argentina) 2. Cueva en el distrito de Maros 3. Dappled Horses of Pech Merle. 4. Cueva Font de Gaume, Francia 5. Cueva Altamira. España 6. Cueva Cougnac Francia 7. Pinturas rupestres de la cueva Ichic Tiog en Chacas, Áncash, Perú • Look on the internet about the Cave Paintings of Prehistory. Then use the photo as a model to do your job. • Prepare the work area where you will be painting. Cover the uniform completely and put on the gloves. Cover the entire desktop. • Place all materials in front of the table in an organized manner. • Take the piece of cardboard and place it on the table and on a bag.
