    Mary Burkes Profile:

    Mary Burke has blended her hunter-jumper talent and advanced dressaexperience into a highly successful career in teaching, training andcompeting in Eventing and Dressage over the last 40 years.

    As a young rider, she competed in the Arated hunter jumper circuit winning multiplechampionships in the Junior Jumper,Equitation and Small Working HunterDivisions. In addition, Mary is the onlyjunior rider to win the Washington StateGreen Working Hunter FuturityChampionship at the age of 17, a divisionnormally dominated by the professionaltrainers.

    Following Marys hunter-jumper career, she traveled to the East Coast

    trained under dressage instructor Linda Zang (USDF O rated dressagjudge) and Elizabeth Madliner for two years. During that time, shequalified multiple horses for the USDF Championships in first throughforth level and obtained her USDF Bronze medal.After returning to the Pacific north west, Mary combined her riding taland started ridding under two-time Olympian Amy Tryon and competethree day eventing. She has gone on to compete nationally and won theAmerican Event Championships in the Open Preliminary division heldLamplighter Equestrian facility in Chicago.
