Many revolutionists were studying the

works of John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, and

many others. They learned from their readings

many concepts, including separation powers.

We chose this to be the first ranked because we feel other peoples decisions and thoughts have a big impact on others.

After the Intolerable Acts, twelve colonies met up to create The Association to come to a conclusion of boycotting British goods.

We feel this is the 2nd largest cause because to us we feel it is a huge slap in the face.

Great Britain and the Colonies had a distance between them that made them feel independent. This made them want more opportunities and freedom for themselves.

This is the 3rd largest cause of the American Revolution because the distance made them feel more independent and that made them feel as though they have to rule themselves

Britain fell into debt after the victorious battle against France. To get out of debt, they commanded revenue from the colonies. The colonies than became less dependent on Britain for Protection.

This is our second to last cause because when the British told the colonies to give them more revenue they got angry and felt as though they had no power.

Colonists were order by the British to house and feed the British soldiers when necessary.

This is our 5th cause to the American Revolution because we feel it is one of the building blocks that made the colonists explode with the war.
