T he library is 115 years old this
year! We are collecting library
related history for a digital dis-
play. There will be a page on our
website dedicated to the history of the
library.
We are asking the com-
munity for their history
that we could add to this
collection. If you have
pictures, documents, or
other related items involv-
ing the library’s history,
we would love to see
them! We’ll scan the item
and add it to our website.
The library in the 1960’s.
The library was a recipient of a LIBRI Foundation Books for Children grant
this month.
This grant contains a collection of new hardcover children's books with a
value of $1,051.95.
The LIBRI Foundation is a nationwide non-profit
organization that donates new children's books to
small rural libraries in the US.
To find out more about this foundation see their
website: www.librifoundation.org.
Thanks, LIBRI Foundation!

If minds are truly alive they will seek out books, for books are the human race recounting
its memorable experiences, con-fronting its problems, searching for
solutions, drawing the blueprints of it futures.

Didn’t like it. Makes great background noise.
Hated it. Would rather wash my hair.

SUPPORT YOUR LIBRARY! If you already shop or purchase gas at Kwik Trip, you’re half-way to support-
ing our library.
It’s an easy program. Simply purchase the Kwik Trip
cards at the library for $50 or $100 (face value) and
Kwik Trip donates 10% of the proceeds to our library.
That’s a great deal! And there’s no extra cost to you!
So far, the library has received $2258.00 from this program!
A good portion of our funding comes from the community here in the North
Freedom area. Throughout the year we have books sales and bake sales
and the Kwik Trip card program is just one more opportunity to give a little
something back to our library.
Where does the money go? Among other things:
materials
maintenance
and just keeping our library in business!
Thank you for your support!!
The man who does not
read good books has no
advantage over the man
who can't read them.
