THE SHOW MUST GO ON! We are excited to announce our Spring Production…
We refuse to let Covid-19 stop the annual Kingston Catholic School Musical this year!
#PeterPandemic
How?
● Much like the KCS Virtual Christmas Extravaganza, this production will be filmed and edited together! ● Due to scheduling, Covid-19 restrictions, and filming requirements, performing will be limited to in-person
students. Don’t worry! If your remote student would like to participate, please contact Mr. Netter or Ms. Tarcza!
● Your child’s wellbeing is our first concern. COVID health & safety guidelines will be followed at all times - students will be masked, film within their grade level cohorts, and movie magic will do the rest!
Auditions and Rehearsals
● Students in Grades 1-8 are invited to audition. ● Students may audition by completing the registration form attached and sending in a video. Instructions are
located on the form. ● Communication about rehearsals, schedules, filming, and more will be through your child’s Google Classroom. ● Rehearsals for performers will be held after school via Zoom Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm-5:30pm.
Not all students will be called to every rehearsal. A detailed schedule will be sent out on a weekly basis.
Filming ● Filming will take place during school hours as well as over Spring Break and on some weekends for specific
performers. We will still be separated by cohort on these extra filming days. ● Students who have committed to participate will film their scenes on some recess time as well as in Library,
Health, and/or Music classes as needed. This will be at a scheduled time. By making this commitment, students are NOT foregoing all recess and fresh air time for the next 4 months.
● Because this performance will be filmed, if your child is on the Do Not Photograph list, their participation will be limited. If they wish to audition for a speaking or singing role, you will need to sign the Media Authorization Form. For access to this form, please contact the Main Office.
When? ● Unlike previous years, sets and costumes will need to be completed as soon as possible for some filming starting
in March. A volunteer sheet will be sent out at a later date! ● The filmed performance will be livestreamed at the end of May. More info on tickets and dates to come!
We hope to see you in Neverland!
