It’s been nearly a month since Easter Sunday, but there’s a reason that we
celebrate this event for so long. The Resurrection changes everything. A
whole new world has been opened up to us. No
wonder God says, “Behold, I make all things new” in the vision from Revelation that we hear today. As we celebrate this liturgy today,
let us thank and praise God for all the ways in
which our lives have been made new.
A special collection will be
taken up this weekend for
the Cathedral of Notre
Dame in Paris.
Please be Generous!

unteers to help in the Shower, Thrift Store, Din-
ing Room, pantry and Front desk.
The shower program runs from Tuesday to Fri-
day, 9:00 to 12:30PM. We supply towels and
shower gel for clients.
The Thrift Store supplies clients with clothes and
is open to the public. It does not involve handling
any money and is open from 10:00 to 12:30PM
and 1:.30 to 3:00 PM, Tuesday to Friday.
We need packers to put together groceries . Mon-
day to Friday from 9:00 to 12:30PM.
The Soup Kitchen/Dining Room is open Tuesday
to Friday, 11.00 to 12:15 PM. Numbers vary, but
we feed about 80-85 people per day. Volunteers
must help with set up beginning at 10:00AM and
clean up until 12:45 PM.
Front desk reception is the first person our clients
will see, and the receptionist will take a few short
details from the client as to what kind of service
is needed. All Volunteers will be asked to fill out
an Application Form, Background Check and
Virtus training will also be required. Please apply
online to Kate Wallington at [email protected]
or 912-233-1877 Ext.105.
Hearing Health Mission at Cathedral
Dr. Chip Goldsmith and Mobilears will conduct a
hearing health mission at the Cathedral Parish
Hall on June 22, 2019 between 3:30-5:30PM. Dr.
Goldsmith will speak briefly on the importance of
hearing health, and
then hearing tests will
be administered to
those in need at no
charge. If a hearing
loss is found, partici-
pants may have a
unique hearing aid
simulation to see whether a hearing aid would
help them. Custom fitted premium hearing aids
will be available at a heavily discounted price
with payment plans if desired. The hearing mis-
sion will tithe ten percent of its revenues to the
Church. If you plan to attend this seminar, please
call Shelley at (912) 231-5509 or email her at
[email protected] to sign up so that
we may appropriately gauge our staff and equip-
ment needs.
