WHAT IS THE FILM ABOUT? Based on the unbelievable true story of one of the most famous artists in history,

Frank Abagnale Jr. We begin as Frank is captured by Agent Carl Hanratty, after years of pursuit. Frank, however, thinks the audience deserves to hear his version of the truth, and narrates his life as a hip, dance-heavy variety television show. We see Frank, as a teenager, run away from his unhappy home to live a life of great adventure, conning people by assuming a multitude of identities: airplane pilot, doctor, and lawyer, to name a few. A fast, rollicking musical by the creative team behind Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can tells the tale of an ingenious, yet lonely, boy looking for his place in the world.

REVIEW OF THE FILM “This is the director's most likeable film in ages, even if it's insubstantial,

overlong and, frankly, a touch redundant.” “DiCaprio has the breeze and aplomb to keep it all bouncing along” “Catch Me if You Can is one of those deceptively slight offerings that

manages to reveal more about its maker than the intended masterpieces often do”

“A gently funny, sweetly adventurous film that makes you feel genuinely good, that is to say, entirely unconned by false sentiment or sharp, overmanipulative Hollywood practices”

“Excellent account of FBI's youngest Most Wanted”

CRITICISMS Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert ”This is not a major Spielberg film, although

it is an effortlessly watchable one. “ Entertainment Weekly Owen Gleiberman” The film's charm ends up worn

out by the very perfection of Frank's con. We look at this teen wizard of rotating identity, and we realize we know everything about him except who he is.”

San Francisco Chronicle Mick LaSalle” What lingers in the memory is the impression of having experienced a frolic, a ride through the park on a bright winter day. “

New York Daily News Jami Bernard “A pleasant romp through the land of Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction. “
