Let’s be the story teller

Read the narration below for the start of the film.

Huddled together in their cosy, dark burrow, the meerkats were sound asleep. Because their tummies were rumbling loudly, they began to wake up. They were hungry. One by one they cautiously popped their little, furry heads into the open to search for food. Then they saw a juicy fruit hanging on a tree. Some of the meerkats climbed the tree and sniffed the ripe fruithappily, then they all stood underneath it and swayed together. All of a sudden, a huge shadow loomed over them. Oh no, a vulture had found the fruit too.

What happens next? Write the next sentence.
