CATAMARAN Toolkit The CATAMARAN toolkit enables customers to deploy mobile and RFID appli-cations without the need to know C++, SQL, Visual Basic or JAVA. The toolkit consists of: CATAMARAN STUDIO This is the administration component where the users can configure and mange the entire projects including authentication rules, servers, user management, device char-acteristics, device color schemes, printers, languages and broadcasts. CATAMARAN CONNECTORS Using certified interfaces we have pre-built connectors to SAP, Siebel, Oracle, Mfg/Pro, MS SQL, Web Services and Legacy Systems. Using our external objects connector we can access most III party APIs. We have a common interface in our connector mecha-nism whether you are using SAP or Siebel or Oracle. Using wizards, we the Meta data in minutes from the interface object including the logical, structural and profile related information. CATAMARAN SCREEN BUILDER Provides a click and drop intuitive graphical interface to configure screen layouts for a wide variety of devices having different form factors and diverse operating systems. The wizards work in an intuitive fashion based on the process flow and have consistency checks, which prompts the users if common mistakes are being made. CATAMARAN OFFLINE/SYNCHRONIZATION ENGINE CATAMARAN has breakthrough technology built into its Offline/Synchronization engine. We do process based synchronization rather than database synchronization as used by mail and messaging vendors. Complete offline transactions can be configured using a set of wizards and can be deployed onto a target device during an online session. In case a business process changes the changed offline transaction is automatically pushed to the client device avoiding a deployment nightmare with most other solu-tions where a piece of code needs to be physically sent out to the device and rein-stalled. In our offline processes we maintain transaction integrity by having a com-plete set of conflict management rules which can be tied to the workflow. Configuring processes for the disconnected mode of operation involves no client side scripting. CATAMARAN MONITORING & REPORTING The administrator gets a complete audit trail of the online and offline transaction that have been created, been processed and are pending. It also monitors the alerts in terms of who the alerts were delivered to and whom did they expire on. Details about each transaction in terms of date, time, user name, process type, data collected etc is archived. The reporting tool generates an up to date report of the devices, menu struc-tures, processes, screen definitions, field characteristics, business logic steps and inter-face objects CATAMARAN RFID Module The RFID Module is used to configure and manage heterogeneous readers, set tag fil-ters, define portal characteristics and process gates, define workflow with event man-agement and view tag reads.
