Introduction to FuzionThe name Fuzion is spelt with a “Z” rather than an “S” as it means “weapon” in the Hebrew alphabet. The Word of God is our weapon which we are to become Master Swordsmen of. (Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”)

Institute Motto: Dei Verbum Comitante (Latin) meaning "The Word of God my Companion".

Institute Scriptures:

Habakkuk 2:14 "For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea."

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.”

John 12:46 "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness."

OUR HISTORY

In 1998 while studying at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, the Founder/President of Fuzion received a very specific prophetic word regarding the establishment of an International Training Center that would be multi-ethnic, multi-national and multi-cultural in nature. This center's primary focus would be used to equip leaders for taking the Gospel throughout Africa. Taking the Gospel into the tough areas where so much prejudice and tribal disunity is taking place. The prophetic word also stated that there would be the meeting with key leaders, tribal leaders in South Africa and beyond. It was only until 2010 that through the leading of the Lord that Fuzion Bible Institute (FBI) was birthed. The very first FBI campus was established in Salt River, Cape Town that same year.

The VisionHabakkuk 2:2-3 "Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry."

Vision (Hebrew): C (pronounced khaw-zone') A mental sight, that is, a dream, revelation or oracle.

Every vision in order to be called as such must firstly be measurable and secondly attainable otherwise it is nothing more than a dream. The vision gives the sight, the hope and the direction in which someone or something must head towards. Without vision the person or organization moves blindly and sometimes without purpose.

Since Fuzion Bible Institute has been established as a Training Center to provide quality Christian education to our students it must not be assumed that the primary purpose and focus of the institute is strictly academic, this is not so. The primary purpose is to take the Gospel into Africa and beyond by means of training quality Christian leaders.

The Vision of Fuzion Bible Institute

The primary purpose is to take the Gospel into all of Africa, with primary focus on central Africa down to Southern Africa. (***see list of countries in the geographical area) To train and equip students with the necessary tools to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished by offering quality Biblical education. Then to release and equip the students as ministers of the Gospel to establish the work the Lord has called them to fulfill. Simplified: TRAIN, RELEASE, EQUIP, ESTABLISH.(TREE)

Train pastors and other spiritual leaders to establish and operate FBI's throughout Africa. To take Apostolic teams, Deliverance teams and Evangelistic Teams on mission trips to those areas and so fulfill the Great Commission given by Christ.

To establish a Ministry Fellowship to ordain and commission leaders into ministry and to bring accountability to the body of Christ.

Understanding the Fuzion ProgramEach Bible Institute and College has its own unique blend of culture and vision. We at Fuzion are no exception to this. We encourage each of the students and the faculty to add to the unique blend of culture of Fuzion. There has been a great shifting in the world both morally and spiritually to such an extent that we can no longer ignore the immense task that is facing the Christian faith. With this in mind a new strategy has been formulated in which to better prepare the student. The new strategy can be broken down into two parts for those students studying for the three program. It is my belief that with this strategy in place the student will have a clearer understanding of their purpose.

The program is broken into two distinct processes, and these are:

1. The first two years of the program will be the Foundational Curriculum. The student will focus primarily on the academic side of the course. This will enable the student to gain a stronger foundation of Biblical doctrine and to expand their knowledge capacity. Though it's primarily focused on the academics of the Bible there is still the secondary aspect which has the student involved in the practical side of the program. Here is where the student will be encouraged to participate in their local ministry.

2. The third year will form the Practical Curriculum. The student will now focus primarily on the practical aspect of the program. All the courses offered in the third year will be the how-to's of ministry which will still have an academic aspect to it. The student will now be required to sign up for an internship with either their local church/ministry or with Fuzion. This is to introduce the student to the practical aspects of ministry whereby they can now put their knowledge to practice.

Those who choose to do their internship with Fuzion will have the opportunity to be either a substitute teacher, librarian, assist with the administration department or any area where a need presents itself. This is the seed bed for our future lecturers or possible FBI campus plant. No student should ever be overlooked as each one has the potential to be the next catalyst of a spiritual revival. Those who have successfully completed their Bachelor Honours Degree must submit a written motivational letter as to why they seek to enter the Master's Program. The Master's will be a more intense Practical ministry program. Successful candidates will enter the next level of ministry training and conditioning.

Mission Trips Each year a mission trip will be organized for a predetermined area. This could be locally, nationally or one of the target countries mentioned in the vision. The students and faculty will work together as part of a team-building exercise. They will be responsible for organizing the logistics of the mission trip and each student must participate in the ministry. It is the hope that the student will develop a heart and passion for World Missions or may even discover that they are called to a certain city, province or country. Local Church Blessing

Many ministries have pastors and leaders that work tirelessly to expand God's Kingdom yet never have time to rest. The Local Church Blessing Program exists for the faculty and students of Fuzion to visit a church whereby they will take the entire service so that the church pastors and leaders can have a break and just receive. The team will be responsible for the worship, preaching, ushering and clean up. This will build strong relationships with the local churches in the community and for Fuzion to serve.

CORE VALUES

Kingdom Ministry First- Our ultimate goal is to focus on Kingdom Ministry first. The expansion of God's Kingdom takes precedence over obtaining an educational qualification.

Every Student a Minister- the Kingdom of God is made up of faithful men and women. Each of our students is viewed as fellow ministers of the Gospel and will be the torch carriers of the vision of the Kingdom.

Educating to serve and lead- Our educational programs exist to train and equip our students to serve the body of Christ and to lead through love and integrity.

Unity in Partnership- Fuzion was established not to replace any ministry but to work alongside other ministries in a bond of mutual respect

2 Timothy 2:2 Principle - Every person who is part of the Fuzion Family must have someone who they will mentor.

Statement of FaithFuzion Bible Institute has been formed as a Christian educational ministry under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are a non-denominational, Spirit-filled ministry, yet we are not opposed to denominations as such, only to the over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

The Holy Scripture - We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrevocable and complete Word of God and is therefore our supreme and final authority in all matters that it addresses. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17)

The Eternal Godhead - We believe that God is Triune, existing eternally and simultaneously as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All three persons in the Godhead share equally and completely the one divine nature, and are therefore the same God, coequal in power, nature and glory. (1 John 5:7)

Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is God the Son who has neither beginning nor ending. He was conceived in the flesh by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and arose bodily on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father as our only mediator, high priest, and advocate. He will return in glory to resurrect and judge all mankind. (Matthew 1:23-25/John 1:1/14:3/Acts 4:12/1 Corinthians 15:3-4 & 20/Philippians 2:5-11/ 1 Timothy 2:5-6/Hebrews 4:14-16/1 Peter 2:22.)

Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Trinity who is coequal with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit's ministries include: Convicting all people of sin; calling, bringing regenerating, indwelling, and baptizing believers into the Body of Christ; setting them apart to a holy life; and teaching, keeping, and empowering them day by day for godly living and spiritual service. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to each believer according to His will. God in His sovereignty still works in miraculous ways. (John 3:5-8/Acts 1:8/5:3-4/16:7-14/1 Corinthians 2:9-12/3:16/12:3-13 & 28-31/13:8-11/Galatians 5:16-25/Ephesians 1:13-14/5:18/Hebrews 2:3-4)

The Fall of Man - We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God to fellowship with Him and give Him glory. Adam and Eve through voluntary disobedience chose to rebel against God and as a result all of mankind became separated from God. The only remedy for this is redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:12)

Page 12: CATALOGUE/PROSPECTUS 2019-20 - fuzionafrika.com  · Web viewWithin the pages of this catalogue/prospectus you will find a wealth of tools and information for you to successfully

Basis of Salvation - We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that there is absolutely no other way to be reconciled back to God the Father. (John 3:16; Rom. 5:8, Rom. 10:9-10; Acts 4:12)

Salvation through Grace - We believe that before salvation we have no righteousness of our own and must come to God through the righteousness of Christ. (Eph. 2:8)

Repentance and Acceptance - We believe that upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Christ as Lord, we are justified before God.(1 John 1:9)

The New Birth - We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a literal one and is the result of being born of the Spirit of God.(2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 2:20; John 3:5-7)

Daily Christian Life - We believe that it is the will of God that we live a sanctified and holy life, growing constantly in the Faith.(Heb. 6:1)

Water Baptism - We believe that baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation.(Matt. 28:19)

The Lord’s Supper - We believe in the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolical use of the bread and the juice of the vine.(1 Cor. 11:28)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit - We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endow the believer with power, and that His empowering is after the same manner as in Bible days. (Acts 1:8; 2:4)

The Spirit-Filled Life - We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit continually. (Rom. 8:1-2; 14-16)

The Gifts and the Fruit of the Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life. (1 Cor. 12:1-11; Gal. 5:22-23; Rom. 12:6-8; Eph. 4:11-13)

Divine Healing - We believe that divine healing is the provision of Christ to heal the sick in response to the exercise of faith, the prayer of faith, the prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, the gifts of healing or the laying on of hands. We believe that this provision of Christ is for everyone today.(1 Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; 18:18-19; James 5:14-16; 1 Cor. 2:9; Mark 16:15-18; Matt. 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33)

The Second Coming - We believe that the Second Coming of Christ is literal and inevitable. (1Thes. 4:16-17)

Page 13: CATALOGUE/PROSPECTUS 2019-20 - fuzionafrika.com  · Web viewWithin the pages of this catalogue/prospectus you will find a wealth of tools and information for you to successfully

Church Fellowship - We believe it is our sacred duty to identify and actively participate with the local and visible church of Christ. (Acts 16:5; Heb. 10:25)

Civil Government - We believe that the laws of the land should be upheld at all times except in matters opposed to the Word of God. (Rom. 13:1-5)

The Final Judgment - We believe that all shall stand one day before God in final judgment, and there receive eternal reward or eternal judgment. (2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:11-13)

Heaven - We believe that heaven is a literal place, eternally existent. (John 14:2; Rev. 7:15-17)

Hell - We believe that hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rev. 20:10,15)

Evangelism - We believe that evangelism is the Great Commission given to the Church and as the church every believer is spiritually obligated in fulfilling this commission. (James 5:20; Mark 16:15; 2 Cor. 5:18-21)

Tithes and Offerings - We believe that the method ordained of God for the support and spread of His cause is by the giving of tithes and freewill offerings.(Mal. 3:10; 2 Cor. 9:7; Heb. 7:8)

Worship -We believe that “acceptable” and “true” worship is prescribed by God Himself in His Word. This embodies individual and corporate expressions of praise and thanksgiving and reverence in holiness. We believe worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship. (John 4:24; Psalm 150)

Church Government - We believe in church government to ensure order, and we believe in loyalty to those acting in rightful authority as they lead us in the Lord. (1Peter 5:1-5; Rom. 13)

Unity, Understanding and Love - We believe that in essentials there must be unity, in nonessentials -- understanding, and in all things - love. We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

AccreditationIn the United States, accreditation of universities and seminaries is a voluntary process with accreditation granted by private, non-governmental agencies. Governmental agencies never provide theological or ministry accreditation. Additionally, there is no absolute 'national' standard for educational accreditation since the educational world is currently re-examining criteria for accreditation, focusing less on institutional inputs and more on educational outcomes. There is no such requirement as Federal or State accreditation of a religious institution, because the civil government has no authority to regulate religious teachings or which certificates or religious degrees upon completion of such education may be issued. This is a matter of separation of Church and State. Politicians and civil authorities must never be allowed to officially endorse or disapprove directly or indirectly the beliefs and practices of churches or their schools.

Please keep in mind that most Bible Colleges and Christian Universities do not have secular regional accreditation.

World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, USA, under the directorship of Dr. Paul Richardson.

STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

In the United States of America, jurisdiction over degree-granting institutions rests with the individual state governments. Compliance with state regulations is the necessary condition for offering a legitimate, legal American degree. Fuzion Bible Institute is compliance with Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes. The state of Florida does not require regional or theological accreditation. Please Note: Fuzion Bible Institute as well as other Christian colleges are NOT required to be regulated by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE); therefore, Fuzion Bible Institute is not listed with the FLDOE as a 'regulated' institution.Fuzion Bible Institute is in compliance with the statutes of the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities to offer legitimate, legal American degrees.

Fuzion Bible Institute (FUZION) does not have a regional secular accreditation. If you desire to pursue a degree for secular employment, a degree with Fuzion Bible Institute may not be the right choice for you. FUZION does not guarantee a job or ordination in any specific market or

ministry. Although WWAC accredits our degrees, FUZION is not listed at this time with a U.S. Department of Education-approved accreditation agency. A FUZION degree is NOT specifically suited for people pursuing secular jobs such as public school teachers, state university professors, and state-licensed counselors or psychologists, among other vocations requiring state licensure.

Generally, people working in ministry positions do not need a government-accredited degree. In fact, a number of churches take a stand against the Church voluntarily placing itself under government regulations.

Tax Exempt Non-Profit StatusFuzion Bible Institute is a non-profit corporation located in the state of Florida, USA. It is recognized as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the US Internal Revenue Code.

The Standards of FUZION:

Instructional Delivery: A legitimate institution requires its learners to undertake instruction, either from its own faculty, or from providers who have been accredited or approved based on a rigorous approval model.

Authorization: Legitimate authorization involves the institution placing itself under the oversight of a duly appointed, sanctioned approval body. A legitimate institution grants degrees under the authority of the government agency in the state or country in which it operates.

Faculty Standards: A legitimate institution will contract with and employ faculty members who are appropriately qualified to teach in their disciplines, diverse in their educational backgrounds, and committed to academic excellence.

Organizational OversightFuzion Bible Institute’s governance and strategic direction are overseen by a Board of Directors which provides organizational oversight and guards Fuzion Bible Institute’s integrity.

DISCLAIMERAll prospective ministries and students must note that Fuzion Bible Institute is only registered as a legal degree-granting institution in the United States of America and has no intention of seeking registration with Departments of Higher Education in any other nation as it’s legal standing in the United States will suffice.
