colours of deep sea fi sh,

Maantis harmonises

aesthetic values and

high-tech content, as a

testimonial of how it is

possible to have everything

in one, without needing to

make choices or relinquish

Maantis comes in three

lengths and a number

of versions and is

unsurpassable for lighting

and decorating any setting.

Sir Richard Rogers was born in Florence in 1933 and made his name designing emblematic buildings such as the Pompidou Centre, Lloyd’s of London, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the London Millennium Dome. His studio, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) has offi ces in London, Barcelona, Madrid and Tokyo. One of his most recent prominent designs is the new tower for the World Trade Center, New York.

The IOS System combines the luminous effi ciency of the optics

(up to 90%) with the greatest ease of installation based on the

twist-lock fi xing system. A wide range of colours, sizes, light

sources and light beams make it possible to effectively light,

and still save energy. It only takes a few seconds to change

the colour or shape of the light beam.

Extensive light beam selection (4 different optics, for symmetric beams

from 2x5° to 2x29° as well as Wall Washer Mira beams) to maximise

effi ciency and versatility of the lighting design layout.

Maantis Short has an 850 mm long diffuser, Maantis Medium - 1150 mm

and Maantis Long - 1450 mm. Ceiling mounted by means of a single white

aluminium ceiling rose, complete with 3-metre long steel cables.

Its extremely modern design

does not prevent Maantis

from fi tting in perfectly with

a classic style.

A special accessory makes it

possible to connect up to six

Maantis luminaires in line to

create a more than 10-metre

long pendant light sculpture.

Álvaro Joaquim Melo Siza Vieira

was born in Matosinhos, Portugal,

in 1933. From 1949-55 he studied

at the School of Architecture,

University of Porto (ESBAP). His

fi rst project was fi nished in 1954.

From 1955-58 he worked with

the architect Fernando Távora.

In 1976 he was appointed

Professor of Construction at

ESBAP. He has been Visiting

Professor in Lausanne, Bogotá

and Harvard. He lives in Porto.

Created in 1999 to light an

exhibition of his work in the

Basilica Palladiana, Vicenza,

Lorosae has the same

classic harmonious beauty

as Palladian architecture.

Its essentially pure forms

rise above time and fashion

and can naturally fi t into and

embellish settings of any

architectural style.

Lorosae retains all its charm

and beauty derived from

the outstanding perfection

of its proportions in each

of its many models and

sizes. The Lorosae versions:

pendant and wall mounted

luminaire, in methacrylate

or blown glass; it comes in

four different sizes and fi ve

large industrial luminaires

Twenties.

The lighting technology of

Lingotta has undergone

some radical changes,

making it an elegant

pendant designed to light

Roberto Gabetti was born in Turin

in 1925; in 1949 he graduated in

Architecture from the Polytechnic

of Turin where he taught

Architectural Composition from

1967. He died in Turin in 2000.

Aimaro Oreglia d’Isola was born

in Turin in 1928 and he has taught

Architectural Composition at the

Polytechnic of Turin since 1977.

Gabetti and Isola opened a studio

in Via Sacchi in 1950.

with a vaguely Bauhaus-

inspired line designed for

large spaces. The fi ns on

the aluminium body perform

both an aesthetic and a heat

dissipation function, while

the refl ector with its minimal

design very effectively

lights the space below.

The methacrylate refl ector

gives the added option of

diffused lighting as well as

direct lighting. The perfect

use for B&S IP55 is in large

settings with high ceilings –

shopping centres, lofts and

showrooms.

PENDANTS

The IOS System combines the luminous effi ciency of the optics

(up to 90%) with the greatest ease of installation based

on the twist-lock fi xing system. A wide range of colours, sizes,

light sources and light beams make it possible to effectively light,

and still save energy. It only takes a few seconds to change

the colour or shape of the light beam.

Extensive light beam selection (4 optics, for symmetric beams

from 2x5° to 2x29° as well as Wall Washer Mira beams) to maximise

effi ciency and versatility of the lighting design layout.

The unusual confi guration of the diffuser gives designers the possibility of composing the desired colour.

The diffuser is made up of the metal structure and sixteen segments (eight top and eight bottom).
