Lechuza-PON

LECHUZA-PON is a structurally stable plant substrate that has optimum properties for plants and is the perfect

alternative in places where organic soil cannot be used. LECHUZA-PON is inorganic and therefore nearly

sterile. LECHUZA-PON as a plant substrate: Used in combination with the LECHUZA sub-irrigation set, your

plants benefit twofold.

LECHUZA-PON is made from pumice, zeolites and lava, and is enriched at the factory with a depot fertilizer

(15-9-9+3; 3g/L), which provides your plant with sufficient nutrients for up to 12 months.

LECHUZA-PON’s excellent buffering properties prevent common fertilizing mistakes. The substrate stores excess

nutrients and fertilizer and then slowly releases these to the plant.

Properties

The plant substrate LECHUZA-PON is distinguished by its various features.

LECHUZA-PON:

• supports root aeration

• provides optimum watering

• stores added nutrients which are then subsequently released as the plant requires them

• stores up to 40% (by volume) water with simultaneous optimum aeration porosity

• has long-lasting structure stability - unlike soil, it does not compress or reduce itself

• is reusable

• adjusts the ph-value

Please note: If you choose LECHUZA-PON as a plant substrate instead of soil, make sure to water your plant from above onto the substrate every second watering!
