Founded by Mr. Roberto Breviin 1973, OMB is a familyowned and operated groupwhich has become a globallyrecognised manufacturer offorged steel valves withmanufacturing operationsin Europe, Asia and Middle Eastsupported by a worldwidedistribution network.

30 years of growth and investiments


OMB Valves has twomanufacturing units in itshistorical home basein Cenate Sotto in the provinceof Bergamo, 50km from Milan. The OMB division is the basefor the forged steel valvesproduction with a 2,000 sqmoffice complex and a 9,000 sqmfactory.

OMB valves (Asia) pte Ltdwhich was founded in 1994 andhas recently moved to whollyowned premises in 2006. The1,000 sqm plant is located in theWoodlands industrial area,in the northern part of Singaporewith access to one of the worldleading port infrastructure.

Fluicon division movedinto the current plant in 1996and has kept growing, reaching9,000 sqm. in 2006 with furtherexpansion already planned.

The plant is equipped with largeOD machining units and testfacilities handling valves up to56”. Cenate Sotto is convenientlylocated 220 Km from the major

northern Italian seaports of Genoaand Venice, with 100 km from theintercontinental airport of MilanMalpensa, and closer to Linate andOrio Al Serio regional airports.

IVM-OMB Saudi Ltd. wasstarted in 2003 in Al-Khobar,Saudi Arabia to meet thegrowing demands of the localend-users for maintenance andprojects while providing localcontent in its manufacturingactivities.

WhereWhereOMB valves (Malaysia) is arepresentative office of OMB ballvalves division handling theproject work in South East Asia.OMB valves (Americas) is arepresentative office of OMB’stwo divisions managing thegroup distribution networksand project activitiesin North America.

OMB Forged Steel Valvesdivision manufactures gate,globe and check valves for thehydrocarbons and chemicalprocessing plants. Theexperience in supplyingengineering companies at theconstruction phase makes OMBa reliable source of expertisein the choice, design, installationand maintenance of valveswhere a complete guaranteeof superior operation and longreliability is required.

Valves are manufactured to ISO15761/API602 8th edition in pressureclass150 to 4500.The latest standards are followed in every area of the manufacturing,testing and NDE examination.

Design Basic design optionssuch as bolted bonnet, weldedbonnet in both threaded and sealwelded and full penetration weld,socket welding end or flangedand so forth, are available aswell as specialty made piecessuch as angle, self closing,and stop check design, etc.

Materials Forgings are sourcedonly in Italy and are available inmore than 50 ASTM denominatedmaterials: from A105 to Titaniumincluding all the alloys andstainless steels. OMB has a verylarge inventory of parts includingthe most exotic steel.

Our solutions for the lowtemperature field cover boththe forged steel gate,globe and check valvesand the ball valves range.Here we manufacture valvesfrom 1/2” to 24” in floatingand trunnion mounted designsand we have developed

a complete set of testing poolsable to handle valves up to 24”class 900.We have a long track recordin a variety of test specificationsand our technicians havedeveloped special skills to beable to verify the valvesin the most extreme conditions.

Testing facilitiesCryogenic testing is carriedout on site where valves aresubmerged in liquid nitrogenat -196C and leak tested withhelium gas. We have speciallybuilt multiple test equipments tohandle large batches of forgedsteel and small size ball valves.Other test facilities include fivehydraulic & hydrostatic test rigs,the largest of which can testvalves up to 24”.

OMB Fluicon range of forgedsteel ball valves have been usedworldwide since 1982.Our production range for floatingball valves start with thetraditional COMPACT type, afire safe tested, 3 piece forgedsteel valve available in classes800 and 1500 with integral ISOmounting pad and optionallocking device. Available in more than 25different body materials anddozen of soft sealingcombinations.

The LIP type, a fire safe tested2 piece forged steel valveis available in classes 800, 1500and 2500. This designis available screwedor screwed and seal welded.Optional integral or welded puppieces available as well.

We manufacture flangedand butt welded endsfloating ball valves withSIDE ENTRY, END ENTRY(one piece body) and TOPENTRY design in classesfrom 150 to 2500, withdimension from 1/2” to 8”.

Cast and forged construction areavailable for top entry valves: wehave basically no size limitationfor forged construction havingalready developed and suppliedvalves up to 36” in one pieceforging.

Subsea applications valves havebeen supplied for the severeservice and environmentalconditions of the North Sea.Valves are available either manualor equipped for ROV operation.
