SPEED 7 Studio – the new VIPA engineering software, with which any SPEED7 controller can be programmed more economically and efficiently.

The new intelligence of the hardware configuration, the intuitive user interface and the system openness make SPEED7 Studio the powerful and easy-to-use tool. Optimize automation tasks, reduce development costs to a minimum, and save time- and cost intensive software training. The user can again focus on his actual engineer-ing tasks. EXTENSION OF FUNCTIONS VIA SD-CARD:

Features known from the SPEED7 CPUs 300S Series have been incorporated into the SLIO CPUs. Thus, memory management with flexible memory adaptation via the Memory Configuration Card (MCC), known from the SPEED7 CPUs of the 300 series, is present again in the SLIO CPUs, but has been updated. The VSC (VIPA Set Card) now allows for two hardware variants to generate a total of 24

CPU variants. Even in its basic configuration, without the optional VSC, both hardware variants already provide so much memory, that many of the common applications can run immediately. With the help of the VSC, the memory can be expanded and the PROFIBUS communication can be enabled in both basic CPUs. Only the SD card has to be plugged into the CPU of the selected

hardware variant. Then the additional features can be used immediately with the first operation. The VSC can also be used like any other standard SD card for storage of program and data. Programming is realized in the SIMATIC world, familiar to most users, i.e. concretely with STEP 7 or TIA Portal from Siemens.

MICRO PLC High Performance in Micro Dimension

The MICRO PLCs are distinguished by modern and functional design, very compact size, high performance and high channel density. The design of the MICRO PLC contains a new display and operating concept that enables the user to see the essential control information of the system at a glance. For this, display and operating elements deliberately concentrate on the essentials that are required in practice. The new „MICRO“ – as the name suggests – is extremely compact. With a width of less than 72 millimeters the VIPA MICRO PLC is up to 50% smaller than typical MICRO controllers. With 30 integrated digital and analog I/O channels on board it offers multifarious usage options as a stand-alone CPU too, and can be expanded with up to eight modules. Digital, analog and serial modules are available, more modules are constantly being expanded. Firm hold by spring terminal technology The connection plugs of the “MICRO” are individually detachable and therefore suitable for the pre-wiring in the series launch. Equipped with the convenient push-in technology they can be mounted and replaced quickly and easily, and without tools. In addition the plugs have spring terminals which not only allow easy wiring but also withstand every vibration. The allocation of the I/O display LEDs directly on the appropriate plug connection allows the user an easy and clear allocation of the channel status even at such a high channel density.

Interfaces, communication and memory A powerful PROFINET controller, a PN i-device and a PN MRP client are part of the basic equipment. The MICRO PLC M13C communicates via Ethernet TCP / IP and supports

S7TCP PG / OP protocol as well as ISOonTCP, ModbusTCPP and OPC UA-Server. The user has also the option of using the PROFIBUS slave function, PtP with ModbusRTU and MPI with an expansion module. Further functionalities of the SLIO system such as larger memory or field bus connections can be enabled if necessary using the multiple award-wining VIPA Set Card (VSC), which is unique in the world of automation. A special feature is a web server with a good equipped WebVisu, which can be configured via the Speed7 Studio.

With the new „MICRO“, VIPA Controls will be presenting a very compact and extremely fast MICRO control system at the SPS IPC Drives 2016. The design has a definite wow-factor and it opens up completely new paths in regards to operating and status display. Thus the MICRO PLC is the starting signal for the new VIPA controller generation.

Interfaces, communication and memory for the VIPA 013C A powerful PROFINET controller, a PN i-device and a PN MRP client are part of the basic equipment. The VIPA 013C PLC communicates via Ethernet TCP/IP and supports S7TCP PG/OP protocol as well as ISOonTCP, ModbusTCPP and OPC UA-Server. The user has also the option of using the integrated PtP-communication ports with ModbusRTU and MPI and optional the PROFIBUS slave function.

Further functionalities of the SLIO system such as larger memory or field bus connections can be enabled if necessary using the multiple award-wining VIPA Set Card (VSC), which is unique in the world of automation. A special feature is a web server with a good equipped WebVisu, which can be configured via the Speed7 Studio.

Demand for a more compact and flexible automation solutions with a reasonable price-performance ratio has been constantly increasing. With the development of the completely new I/O system SLIO®, VIPA is setting a new standard in the automation sector. The VIPA I/O system SLIO combines high functionality with an intelligent mechanical concept and an extremely compact design. SLIO® is a synonym for slice-I/O. With its very compact design, the system can be set-up “step by step” to exactly meet the requirements of the application. The Interface Modules (IM) for PROFIBUS-DP, CANopen, PROFINET, EtherCAT and Modbus can support up to 64 Electronic Modules (EM). The Power Modules (PM), which are contrasting in color to Signal Modules (SM) and Function Modules (FM), supply voltage to the Electronic Modules. Decoupled potential groups can be defined if required. The Electronic Modules are connected to the Terminal

ModuleTM using a secure plug-in mechanism. The Terminal Module is comprised of a clamp, connection of Electronic Modules and mechanical bus connector. Therefore, if maintenance or repair are required, only the Electronic Module will have to be exchanged by simply pulling it out of the Terminal Module. Wiring and mounting on the 35mm DIN rail will remain unchanged. The staircase-shaped cage, which clamps on the Terminal Module offers fast, clear, and secure wiring. With the integrated status-LEDs and the labeling strip on the front, an exact state monitoring of channels on the Electronic Module is possible. The new backplane bus system with a transmission rate of 48Mbit/s offers very short response times with a signal processing of less than 20μs. SLIO® is one of the most powerful and cost-effective decentralized systems available in the market.

SIGNAL MODULES ANALOG Signal modules (SM) to connecting sensors and actuators are the interfaces of the system to the process. Analog signal modules acquire the analog control signals (e.g. measurement data) to and out of the process level. Depending on the application and type the control signals are acquired from the process level and converted into interpretable signals for controlling. Analog output modules convert the internal control signals into signals suitable for the process level.

A variety of different analog signal modules accurately provide the inputs and outputs that are required for each task. The analog modules differ in the number of channels, voltage and current ranges, isolation, and diagnostic and alarm capability. MCC-MEMORY CONFIGURATION CARD VIPA MCC offers the possibility to extend the RAM of SPEED7 CPUs. The MCC is a specifically prepared MMC (multimedia Card). Plug the MMC into the card slot and execute an overall reset and the extension becomes available. The MCC must remain plugged in, otherwise the CPU switches to STOP after 48 hrs.

The MCC can’t be exchanged to a MCC with the same memory configuration, but it can be used for the project backup (Copy RAM > ROM). The shown MCC memory value increases the already available basic memory of the CPU by the value of the card. However, the maximum memory shown of the CPU can’t be overridden, even if a bigger memory extension is plugged in.

The CPUs of the system 200V need only 30% of the space required of the S7-300® CPUs, but nevertheless operate with the full STEP®7 instruction set S7-315® by SIEMENS. Through the standard MPI interface via PG programming unit, PC adaptor and operator panels from SIEMENS, ESA, ADVANTECH, VIPA a.s.o. can be connected. To save the project, a custom MMC card can be used.

The RAM and Flash memory necessary for the operation are included in the CPU. Additionally PROFIBUS-DP master, DP-Slave, RS232 interface or TCP/IP CP-unit can be combined in different CPU variations. High memory sizes up to 128kByte program memory and 192kByte load memory with short cycle times offer a big area of application. A CPU can supply up to 32 units.

The industrial switches EN5-R (5-Port) and EN8-R are entry-level models which support the IEE 802.3 or 802.3x/u with 10/100M full / half duplex and MDI/MDIX recognition. They are designed for operating temperature ranges of -10° up to 60°C and can also be deployed in rough industrial environments.

The Ethernet switches PN5-RD (5-Port) and PN8-RD (8-Port) are Managed Ethernet switches with integrated PROFINET functions. This makes it easier to integrate the PN switches into PROFINET oriented engineering systems and also support a variety of useful management functions such as IGMP Snooping, IEE802.1Q VLAN, Qos, Port mirroring, SNMP, bandwidth management and warning by e-mail or relay output.

The ProfiHub B5 PROFIBUS-DP repeater in a IP20 casing for industrial automation, to implement long multi-device spur lines and backbone structures with star/tree segments for PROFIBUS-DP. It has the functionality of 5 galvanic isolated transparent repeaters. This allows network structures with extended spur lines that can handle a maximum of 31 devices individually and a length equal to the main bus. The ProfiHub B5 refreshes a received message

on one channel and transfers it to all the other channels. The advanced 12Mbps core of the repeater B1 is identical to the ProfiHub. It can be cascaded unlimitedly and is equipped with an isolated RS485 interface. The data is constantly monitored for glitches which are digitally filtered out. Every channel has on-board switchable termination and can drive 31 devices.

FIELDBUS MASTER

netHOST FB - LAN controlled Fieldbus master for DIN rail

A netHOST FB is a full-featured and autonomously operating Fieldbus master allowing industrial PCs and other embedded systems the control of Fieldbus networks over an ordinary LAN connection. A simple TCP/IP based transport protocol transfers the services between the controlling unit and the device. For device integration a DLL for Windows and a ‚C‘ source code for embedded solutions is provided. In both cases the call interface (API) is identical to Hilschers PC cards. This makes a netHOST a „remotely controllable PC card for field installations“. 100 bytes process data inputs and outputs are exchangeable over the LAN network in about one millisecond. Acyclic services to the subordinate Fieldbus stations are supported as well. A bus confi guration software is included in the delivery. Two devices can be used in combination to realize redundant applications. Services are provided to execute a controlled switchover in the event one device fails or a line breaks. In case a device fails the memory card slot allows service personnel to perform a firmware and configuration recovery on a replacement device in less than a minute.

As directly mountable or as firmly attachable DIN rail mountable device the adaptors netLINK- and netTAP-MPI are replacing expensive CP communications processors and allow the programming, visualization and control of S7-200®, S7-300® or S7-400® PLCs over Ethernet. The provided driver integrates into all well-known SIMATIC S7® engineering tools like STEP7® or TIA portal as PG/PC programming interface. The device is setup within the engineering tool or with conventional web browsers over the integrated web confi guration pages. The adaptors are suitable to program or change S7-PLC control programs and may serve to engineer HMI devices with the visualization software WinCC. By supporting the „ISO on TCP“ RFC1006 Ethernet protocol any third party or SIMATIC® visualization stations can be coupled to the PLC.

Once integrated into the office or plant network and connected to the internet also remote maintenance and logging over a router is possible since plain TCP/IP protocol access mechanisms are used. Organized in a network direct communication between two or several PLCs over Ethernet can be realized. Even a coupling of PLCs with no own Ethernet port is possible using two adapters in conjunction. Featuring full PROFIBUS diagnostics and Master Class 2 DPV1 services enables unrestricted DP Slave device configuration and parameterization in STEP7®. Power is supplied by a 24 V DC. If supported by the S7 PLC the netLINK-MPI adaptor may be powered over the DSUB9 connector alternatively and its extra feed-through DSUB9 connector allows the connection of further devices to the same MPI/DP network.

PROTOCOL CONVERTER netLINK51 PROXY - PROFIBUS to PROFINET PROXY in connector format

netLINK PROXY integrates a PROFIBUS-DP slave into any superordinate PROFINET network. As connector the device is plugged directly onto the PROFIBUS-DP interface of the DP-Slave and connects to the PROFINET network via its RJ45 socket. On PROFINET side netLINK behaves like an ordinary IO device. The DP-Slave’s process data are mapped in accordance with the present PI-organisation’s guideline into the PROFINET slot/subslot addressing model. Commissioning is done via the Ethernet port with either a direct connection to the PC or if already installed and during run time via a PROFINET switch. netLINK PROXY is configured with the FDT/DTM based planning, configuration and diagnostic tool SYCON.net.

With few steps netLINK is getting operative. In case there is no slave GSD file available, a scan function is able to identify the slave on PROFIBUS. After the configuration and the I/O process data length is known, SYCON.net converts the parameters automatically into a standardized GSDML file. This file imports to any PROFINET controller configuration utility and gets netLINK into operation effortless. The netLINK Proxy is supplied by 24 V. During mounting the voltage can be tapped comfortably from the DP-Slave and be led to the 2-pin COMBICON connector. The short distance on PROFIBUS makes a terminator unnecessary. netLINK PROXY – a cost-efficient and handy alternative to redevelopments to get existing DP devices integrated straightforward into the PROFINET world.

netTAP 50 is a protocol converter for simple conversions. netTAP 50 converts 1-port Real-Time Ethernet, fieldbus and serial automation protocols. Slave to slave or slave to master conversions are supported. As a master, netTAP 50 provides full master functionality to one slave device only. This makes it easy to integrate a single field device into any higher-level network. The design impresses with a cost-optimized, compact hardware implementation being reduced to the elementary requirements of a protocol converter. netTAP 100 is the protocol converter for sophisticated conversions and supports 2-port Real-Time Ethernet to serial, Fieldbus to Fieldbus, Real-Time Ethernet to Fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet to Ethernet automation protocols. It supports slave and master functionality in any combination. Master functionality is unrestricted when licensed. A memory card slot allows the user to save firmware and configuration data on a removable card. The gateway netTAP 151 transmits IO data bidirectionally between any two industrial Real-Time Ethernet networks. It is the ideal solution for installations with heterogeneous networks or such of the same kind to exchange data across given network boundaries. With more than 25 different combinations of the protocols PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, POWERLINK, Sercos and Modbus TCP, the device series provides a solution for any conversion. The integration as simple I/O device into the primary network makes the converter compatible with any common PLC. On the secondary side it works either as I/O device too or controls a subordinate network as a bus master. The length of the I/O data can be scaled to any application and the data in between can be mapped on byte level arbitrarily.

Secure network separation is provided by two Ethernet controllers, each connected to a Dual Ethernet port with integrated switch. That allows realizing star, ring and inline network topologies without further peripherals. Both controllers handle the protocols independent from each other and exchange only the I/O data across a data buffer. An overall data processing time lower than 10 milliseconds is achieved. The devices can be ordered preloaded with fi rmware and license or unloaded. Unloaded devices minimize the storage costs. Subsequent loading of a firmware configures these devices for any conversion most fl exible. All devices are commissioned and diagnosed network independent over USB.

netIOT Edge Gateways securely connect automation networks with Cloud or IoT directed application. As field devices they exchange cyclic IO data with the PLC and communicate furthermore with IoT capable field devices over OPC UA or MQTT directly. This real-time field data build the basis for intelligent IoT applications of cyber-physical processes in ERP/CRM systems in modern M2M enterprise solutions. Integrated security mechanisms such as physical separation of the OT network and the IT network, a trusted operating system, the execution of signed firmware and packets only and the usage of encryption techniques of the latest standards are securing the data integrity and protecting against any kind of data theft. The web based IoT wiring editor Node-RED serves to configure the data flow in the devices. Data apps and profiles are created herein in minutes with over 70 predefined function blocks called „nodes“. Features in addition to this set for the otherwise closed gateways are available on demand as netIOT Service products. Available are native cloud connectors to specific cloud solutions for post installation or services such as software adaptions and manymore. Own software can be deployed on the system additionally using the preinstalled container software Docker.
