SUPPORT SERVICES

Accident Investigation and Litigation SupportCrane Institute of America employs highly trained experts in Accident Investigation and Reconstruction. As noted authorities in the safety and technical aspects of cranes and rigging, Crane Institute personnel frequently provide expert testimony and litigation support, as well as interpretation of standards and regulations.

Site Safety AssessmentAn accident can have serious, long-term effects on the health and stability of a company. Many hazards overlooked on a daily basis by insiders can be revealed by the objective eye of an experienced third party. During our on-site visit we will assess your personnel, material handling practices, records and existing documentation for compliance with federal, state and industry requirements. Concluding our evaluation, an exit interview will be conducted followed by a written assessment and recommendations report. A thorough safety analysis of your workplace helps prevent accidents before they happen.

ConsultingOur staff provides representation in ASME/ANSI standards development, federal and state rule-making advisory groups and national associations and is able to provide interpretation of standards and regulations.

Audit Company Policies and Procedures and/or In-House Training ProgramsOur custom training programs are developed for companies who train their crane operations and riggers in-house. Full-color visual training aids include a student manual, instructor guide, exercises and job aids. Crane Institute will assist in the implementation of the program and train and certify in-house trainers.

At Crane Institute’s 5-acre facility near Orlando, Florida, our instructors conduct hands-on training on mobile cranes, industrial cranes, boom trucks and rigging equipment. Our hands-on programs are excellent for trainees or as a refresher for experienced personnel. We cover all the bases, from pre-op inspection to setup to operation to shutdown.

Our building block approach to training is unlike any available today. Students move from the classroom to the crane simulator to actual operation of equipment, acquiring the practical skills they’ll need on the job. This “building-block” technique enables students to learn the skills much quicker than through other methods of training, and with proven results.

Conscientious employers are taking advantage of Crane Institute’s powerful, time-proven training programs. Our nationally scheduled open-enrollment programs are ideal for individuals as well as corporate or government entities desiring training for specific personnel.
