Rossi shotguns use the timeless single-shot, break-open breech design updated with the most modern safety features. These shotguns include a spur hammer, transfer bar safety action and an integral linkage system that prevents the action from opening or closing when the hammer is cocked. Rossi shotguns are available in 12 and 20 gauge models, weighing just over five pounds, and a four-pound .410 bore all accepting either 2 3/4 -inch or 3-inch shells—Standard or Magnum. The .410 and the 20 gauge are offered in even lighter youth models to fit young shooters.

These handguns are built to the same quality and reliability standards that have been part of the Rossi name for more than 100 years. All Rossi revolvers feature deep, contoured finger grooves in the grip for a solid grasp and maximum shooting comfort. Rossi revolvers are machined from forged steel and will routinely fire powerful .38 Special +P, or hard-hitting .357 Magnum rounds for the lifetime of your revolver.

In .357 Magnum, Rossi has two long barrel offerings – Model 971, a Blue Steel 4-inch barrel and Model 972, featuring a Stainless Steel 6-inch barrel. Rossi also offers two short barrel .357s—the Model 461 Blue Steel and the Model 462 Stainless Steel with two-inch barrels. While they are built extra tough to handle all .357 Magnum cartridges, they will fire the popular .38 Special +P rounds as well.

In .38 Special +P, Rossi offers the Model 851 with a 4-inch vented barrel and 6-round capacity. Rossi also offers two small frame, 5-shot revolvers chambered in .38 Special +P: the Model 351 in Blue Steel and the Model 352 in Stainless Steel. Two-inch barrels make them favorites for concealed carry and home defense.

WARNING concerning ammunition marked “+P” and “+P+”. Recently there have been many developments by ammunition manufacturers and reload-ers, not all of them good. It seems some ammunition manufacturers and reloaders are in a horsepower race to see who can develop the most case pressure and muzzle velocity with little regard for practicality or safety. Some of these loads exceed common sense and can virtually tear metal apart. Rossi Firearms rated for “+P” ammunition are rated for Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI) compliant “+P” ammunition. SAAMI does not recognize any “+P+” ammunition at all. It is DANGEROUS to fire “+P+” ammunition in any Rossi firearm and if you do so you may be seriously injured or killed.

In.addition,.it.seems.some.ammunition.marked.“+P”.is.not.SAAMI.compliant.either...There are only four calibers that can carry a “+P” rating from SAAMI...They.are.38.Special.+P,.9mm.Luger.+P,.38.Super.Automatic.and.45.Automatic.+P...There are no other SAAMI approved “+P” loads....Any.ammunition.in.any.other.caliber.marked.“+P”.is.not.SAAMI.compliant,.may.be.dangerous.and.should.not.be.used.

DANGER for “+P+” Never use “Plus -P -Plus” (+P+) rated ammunition in any Rossi firearm. The.Sporting.Arms.and.Ammunition.Manufacturers.Institute.(SAAMI).does.not.recognize.such.ratings.and.such.ammunition.can.be.very.dangerous...Firing.such.ammunition.can.cause.catastrophic.failure.in.firearms.resulting.in.serious.bodily.injury.or.death....
