TERMS

On Stoves, Ranges and HoIIow=ware.

OUR MONTHS, from end of month in which goods are shipped. All accounts to be settled by note or

cash. If paid within to days from end of current month, 5 per cent, will be allowed;within 45 days,

3 per cent.; within 60 days, 2 per cent.; within 90 days, 1 per cent.

Goods supplied during the months of July and August will date as if shipped in September.

Freight will be allowed, as heretofore, on Stoves and Hollow-ware, but not on repairs when

shipped alone. All breakages in transit should be referred to us promptly for adjustment. The amount of freight must in

all cases be deducted before cash discount is calculated.

Repair accounts, net cash to days.

All overdue accounts subject to sight drafts.

Interest at the rate of 8 per cent, will be charged on all renewals and overdue accounts.

say, that it is a very successful and quick baking Range in all respects and gives excellent satisfaction

The Columbia Diamond Range.

FOR COAL OR WOOD.

OLUMB1A DIAMOND is an entirely new production of original design, with all the modern features of

utility. The decoration of the doors and reservoir ends is bold, with deeply carved ornamentation, and

the base is high and broad, being a pronounced departure from the ordinary type.

The Nickel and Tile trimmings are handsome and novel.

As a whole the appearance of the Columbia Diamond is at once massive and beautiful.

The ovens are large and so constructed that all space is available for baking. They are heated

on five sides, and the flues are of the modern and popular system of sheet flues.

The fire box is properly proportioned to secure the best and most economical consumption of fuel, either coal or wood,

and is fitted with either Duplex, Rockash or plain grates as desired. The grate bars can be replaced without disturbing the

water front or linings.

Either brick or iron linings can be supplied, but we will always ship with iron linings unless otherwise instructed.

The tea shelf, high shelf and high closet are interchangeable, and fit all sizes, the former being supplied with every

range and included in price.

The high shelf is large and does not interefere with cooking utensils on top of range. It is of the popular folding

type, handsomely carved and of real utility.

The Magic Diamond Range.

FOR COAL OR WOOD.

THE MAGIC DIAMOND RANGE we are putting on the market an entirely new, high-class Range, with

all the modern features. A construction that will work satisfactorily, with even indifferent chimness.

The popular design and Nickel Trimmings of our Marvel has been incorporated in this new Range,

otherwise it is entirely different.

The Fire Box is proportioned to secure the most satisfactory combustion of fuel, either coal or

wood.

The Grates furnished are the Duplex, Rockash or plain as desired.

The Ash Pan is large and is arranged to hold and remove ashes without creating dust.

The Ovens are large and fitted with steel bottoms, insuring rapid and equal heat in all parts of oven.

These ranges have Sheet Flues with one tlue strip extending diagonally in bottom flue, equally distributing all the

heat over bottom of oven. This is the tlue construction embodied in nearly all modern good working and selling Ranges.

The damper openings are large, insuring free draft.

Large Copper Reservoir, with beautifully japanned lids and frame. The tlues and damper opening under reservoir

being large, water can be boiled in the reservoir.

The whole Hearth draws off and drops down under the Ash Pit if so desired. In drawing out the entire distance it

does not disturb anything resting upon it. It is a large serviceable Hearth, and adds to the appearance of the Range.

SHELF. Bv pulling the handle near the lower edge of

the door, the oven door is opened and the shelf slides

out automatically, bringing out any articles placed upon

it As soon as the door is opened a trifle, the hook

attached to the handle is firmly fastened to the shelf

and cannot be disengaged from it till the door is closed

again. This important feature (secured by patent) makes

it impossible for the shelf to drop or to be disconnected

from the oven door while the latter is open. In clos

ing the door the shelf slides back into the oven. The

door can be opened without moving the oven shelf, by

taking hold of the knob above the handle, or by press

ing the Patent Oven Door Kicker.

Dealers will readilv appreciate the advantage of this

Shelf as a selling point, and as a convenience to their

customers when the Range is in use. It is the Best

Automatic Shelf made, and is used only in Canada in

Stoves and Ranges of our manufacture.

The New Favorite Diamond

FOUR HOLE RANGES.

FOR COAL OR WOOD.

OST NO MORE than good cooking stoves of corresponding sizes,

hg| and are superior* to any cooking stove in many ways. The

back and bottom flue space in cooking stoves are each divided

into three flues;

this is unnecessary in the flue construction of a

range, for this reason : The flues in the range are much lar

ger, giving better draft ; the heat is more equally distributed

over the oven, one side more being heated, increasing the heat

ing capacity of the range over 33 Vj, per cent, more than a cooking stove. One

small flue strip extending diagonally in bottom flue equally distributes heat over bot

tom of oven, causing all parts of oven to bake equally.

THE FIRE BOX FOR COAL is thoroughly ventilated, and oval in shape,

making the fire back, front grate, and end linings concave on the inner surface, the best possible shape to resist the action

of the fire. This range is supplied with either the duplex grate or our patent flat, shaking and dumping grate.

THE FIRE BOX FOR WOOD, consisting of false fire bottom, fire back and front fender, making equally as desirable

a fire box for this fuel, as if made for wood only, and taking as long wood as any range with corresponding size oven.

Central draft to the fire box, making a quick fire and the additional advantage of a large broiling door, and ash pan.

Producing ovens superior to all others for baking and roasting. An oven too hot

is equally as objectionable as an oven not hot enough to produce perfect results.

As the ovens in these ranges can be properly regulated,bread -vill raise nicer

and hake more, evenly. Meats u ill retain their natural juices and liave a

better flavor. Delicate cakes and puddings can be baked -cithont the use of

cloths or propping open the oven door.

and centres exposed to the fire.and centres that fit perfectly, and guaranteed to be the finest and most durable in existence. The

long centre is made in two pieces and has a supporting post. Top made in four pieces. Large copper reservoir, with hard-baked

japanned lids and frames. We guarantee that water can be boiled in the reservoir.

THE HIGH CLOSET is novel and beautiful. The large closet door is controlled by a weight, enabling the door to be open

ed to any point desired, where it will remain. It can be opened and closed by a slight touch, and when down, or entirely open,

forms a large shelf in connection with bottom of closet. The closet can be easily removed from the high shelf, and the change

made in a few minutes. The most valuable feature in the construction of this closet and shelf is the arrangement for heating the

closet. This is accomplished successfully by extending the sheet-iron stovepipe to the collar on range top, and, leaving a flue between

the pipe and cast plate supporting the high shelf and closet, air is admitted through holes at the bottom of this plate (as shown in

cut ) and passes through the tlue between the stovepipe and cast plate, and through large holes in bottom of high shelf into closet?

heating it as hot as an oven, thereby utilizing heat wasted in other ranges, and making a perfect "double heater" attachment.

THE TEA SHELF is furnished with every range, and included in the price of the range. This tea shelf can also be used on

top of high shelf, making a handsome cornice and finish.

FIRE BOX for coal is oval, this being the best shapefor strength and Combustion. It is also the heaviest and

best ventilated fire box, and we GUARANTEE it to be the

most DURABLE made. This stove is supplied with either

the Duplex Grate or our new patent Flat, Shaking and

Dumping Grate. When the fire box for coal is re

moved, and the Fire Back, False Fire Botlom, and Front Fender put in

place for burning wood, they are superior to cooking stoves for burning wood ex

clusively, as they have fully as large a fire box as other cooking stoves of corres

ponding sizes, with the advantages of a large, clean ash pan, low hearth, broiling-

door and central delivery of draft to the wood, making a quick, hot fire, with a

small amount of fuel. The ash box and pan construction are excellent. The panis large, made of sheet iron, has cast frame, and wrought bail with stop catches.

The great drawback to the sale of self-feeding base

burning oven stoves is due to their high price and great

extravagance in consumption of fuel, also being gener

ally elaborately nickeled they are hard to keep clean.

In building the Putnam with oven our aim has been

to overcome these serious objections, and all who have

seen this stove declare it a great success. It is low in

price, very neat and handsome, extremelv economical

and unexcelled as an operator.

Diamond Cone Heater

FOR ANY KIND OF COAL.

The Cone Disc Stove, as shown on page 83,

has been before the public for several seasons and

no stove ever gave such universal satisfaction as

regards efficiency and economy. The reputation which

it attained induced a number of manufacturers to bringout imitations, but, unfortunately for themselves, each

faithfully copied its defective features and omitted the

desirable ones. That the stove was in some respects

defective we admit, unavoidably rough castings and im

proper ash pan arrangement being the most serious.

Our experience with the Cone Disc Stove has en

abled us to remedy all its weak points and incorporatea number of new features in the Cone Heater, and wenow offer it to the public as a stove unapproachable in

its class. It has a handsome base, smooth castings, large

ash pan, automatically clean shaking and dumping ar

rangement, return flue, foot rail, slicer door and a flue

to permit the heated air confined by the base to escape,

at the same time drawing off the cold air from the floor.

of Pleasant Home and Marvel Furnaces as they

appear when set up and encased in galvanized iron.

The ash pan door being open the position of ash

pan and sifter grate are shown. Cuts on follow

Owing to our system of Patent Fused Joints

being embodied in all our furnaces constructed of

cast iron and steel we guarantee them to be ab

solutely gas and dust proof. Bolted, riveted andcemented joints are all right for a time, but owingto the unequal expansion and contraction they

gradually give away and in a comparatively short

time there is nothing to prevent the escape of gasand dust. All our Steel Body Furnaces are fitted

with Draw Centre, Anti-Clinker Dumping and

Shaking Grate, they can be completely dumped andare so set that surface can readily be raked. This

without disturbing any other part of the

Combination Heater.

(Hot Air and Hot Water).

Modern architecture often requires an apparatus bvwhich provision can be made for warming such rooms

as can not be reached by warm air pipes from Hot Air

Furnaces, and economy forbids the use of more than

one furnace. To meet this demand we have producedour Hot Air and Hot Water Combination Heater. Aswill be seen by the illustration the arrangement is quite

simple and its operation positive and certain.

The boiler, it will be seen, is so constructed that

the amount of hot water supplied may be varied by using

one, two, three or more sections as requirements maydemand.

These Heaters have been tried and tested the past

three years and are giving splendid results. As regards

economy and convenience we believe thev are unequalled. We will gladly give special information when re

quired regarding arrangement of Registers, Radiators,

Piping, etc., for anv building.

Furnaces, but is more suitable for t\vo smaller sizes, No.

134 and 138. In either of these furnaces it will heat

300 feet of inch pipe, and sections added will heat 100

feet of inch pipe each.

The larger boiler will fit all excepting the two smaller

sizes of our Steel Body Furnaces, and will heat 400 feet

of inch pipe, while sections added will each heat 100

feet of inch pipe same as with smaller boiler.

These are very conservative estimates, and under or

dinary or favorable circumstances, each boiler and section

will heat much more than we estimated. I pon receipt

of particulars in reference to requirements we will be

pleased to advise which boiler and the number of sec

tions will give best results.

this description are not easily cleaned, but we have overcome this difficulty bv constructingour Radiator without bolts or rivets, and it is so arranged that tubes can be lifted out andRadiator easily cleaned.

Sanitary Heaters.

The " SANITARY "

is intended to he used when a Furnace in the

basement would not be practicable.

It is especially adapted for heating school rooms, halls, and other

large rooms and can be located in any out of the way part of the

room practicable to its operation, and thus take up very little useful

space. At the same time it will do the important work of heating all

parts of the room alike.

It is simple enough to be understood by anyone and requires less

attention than an ordinary stove.

The Pluto Boiler.Our aim has been to construct a Boiler that is economical,

durable and cleanly, and we have succeeded in embodyingthese important features in the "

PLUTO." Its perfect water

and fire circulation, together with the enormous heating sur

face, renders it the most powerful and economical heater

made.

These boilers are no experiment, having been thoroughly tried and tested.

They have given excellent results in Manitoba as well as in the milder climate

of Ontario.

The " PLUTO "

Boiler has the following importen advantage :

It is sectional in ALL its parts.

The size can easily be increased or diminished.

It has less joints than any other Boiler of its class.

It will burn all kinds of fuel Hard or soft coal, wood or coke.

When large buildings are to be heated, two or more boilers can be connected, so as to run separately or together, according to thetemperature of the weather.

All sections are tested independently, and each complete boiler is tested with a pressure of 40 pounds.We recommend in all cases that boilers be covered with asbestos after being set up.

The PLI-TO has no equal for warming private dwellings, public buildings, schools, churches, greenhouses, etc., bv hot water circulation.
