Pre-Requisites for CAT Registration

• Valid email address

• Valid mobile phone number

• Marksheets of class X, XII, graduation and/or other equivalent exams.

• Details of work experiences (if any)

• Preferred CAT Exam Center choices

• Scanned images of photograph and signature

• Scanned copy of category certificate (if any)

• Bank details (credit card, debit card or net banking) for payment of Application fees

How to Register for CAT 2017?

1. Registration- Visit the official website of CAT (iimcat.ac.in) and enter your email id, phone number, and date of birth.2. Fill CAT Application Form- Enter personal details, contact information, academic details, work experience, program preference and exam center preference.3. Upload Documents- Upload your scanned copies of documents such as Photograph, Signature, Category certificate and disability certificate4. Payment of Application Fee- CAT 2017 Application Fee can be paid online via net banking/credit card/debit card.

Step 1- Online Registration

1. Visit the official website of CAT i.e. iimcat.ac.in2. Click on ‘Registration for New User’3. Read given instructions

4. Enter details such as Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Country and Email Address to generate OTP.

5. You will receive an OTP for Mobile Number Validation from IIMCAT

6. Enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP and submit after entering the Captcha Code.

7. Check on ’I Agree’ and then ‘Submit’

8. You will now receive an unique login ID & Password9. Log-in through it to fill CAT Application Form

Step 2- Fill CAT Application Form

1. Click on “Existing User” tab on CAT’s homepage

2. Enter your Login id and Password sent on your registered email address and mobile number

3. CAT Application Form will open

4. Enter the following details:

• Personal Details

• Academic History

• Work Experience

• Program Preference

• Payment of Application Fee

Step 3- Upload Documents

Step 4- Pay Application Fee

Pay the category-wise application fee as given below:

CAT Application Form Status

• After the Application Form is finally submitted, an email, a pop-up message on the screen and a message on the registered mobile number are sent related to the status of the application.

• In case, you have any query related to CAT Application Form, Payment of Fees and Admit Card, the same can be asked through Candidate Query Form.

CAT Application Form Correction

• The form correction window in CAT will be available for limited time only. The dates are yet to be out.

What can be corrected?

• Percentage of Marks scored

• Work Experience

• Programs Selected

What can not be corrected?

• Personal Details

• Academics section except the percentage marks scored

• Exam Centre City Preferences

How to Apply for CAT Form Correction?

1. Open the official website for CAT 2017 i.e. iimcat.ac.in.

2. Click on the “Existing User” button.

3. Enter your login id and password and click on “Login”.

4. Navigate through the different sections in the application form and check the details you have entered.

5. Change or modify the details which are incorrect or incomplete.

6. Click on “Save and Continue” or “Save” and Exit.
