• When we were deciding on what to look for in our actors, we decided the first thing was that they were reliable. Crystal is our director’s (Ian) sister and therefore this made us believe that she would be very reliable.• Another reason as to why we chose Crystal was dues to the fact that she has had past acting experience as she has studied Drama as well as Media at GCSE level.• Crystal also portrays the image of a every-day teenager and seeing as in our production the to main characters are teenagers, we believed that she would fit into the characters’ mentality easily.

Tawande Olukbasi

• During the production of ‘The Break-Up’, our male character was seen to be a very ‘cool’ and normal teenager in which we believed Tawande fitted the bill perfectly• Tawande, like Crystal, has also has previous acting and media experience as he studied media at GCSE level, which made us think that he would also fit into our production with ease.• Tawande has also appeared in previous media projects with other production teams, which shows that he has vast experience in acting and was another reason why we chose him
