That means we will use a Float Shoe and Float Collar. These are not self-filling so we will need to stop and fill

the casing with mud after running five joints.

The shoe track calls for two joints of 23 ppf casing between the Float

Shoe and Float collar.



This casing string will be cemented using the conventional two plug (Top

and Bottom) 1 stage cement job.

Correct Torque Values

This means that each time we change weights of casing being run, we have to re-set the tongs torque gauges.

This will happen on joint number 39, which is when we start running the 20 ppf casing.

Then again when the 17 ppf casing starts in the hole on joint 148.

• Do not mix the first can of BakerLok until we have picked up the float shoe and the first joint.

• This should take four cans of BakerLok, but be sure to have four extra cans in case we run into delays and it sets up before we can use it.

• We are going to BakerLok the threads of the float shoe, the two joints of casing, the float collar and the joint above the float collar.

• Here is the list of the joints which will have centralizers installed.

• You can see we will have one on every joint for the first 15 joints, that will help to center the casing through the pay zone. That’s joints 350 to 365.

• We will put centralizers on again from joints 210 to 215. That will help center the casing across the intermediate casing shoe to improve the cement bond at that point.

• Finally, the three joints will have centralizers to center the casing just below the casing hanger.
