XYZ is one of the leading Indian Banks and has a vendor base of 1000 vendors performing its business
activities across 12 categories. This bank hires ABC-one of the Big Four firms to perform Third
Party vendor review for 82 vendors. ABC has shortlisted these vendors after thorough and detailed
discussion with Business Heads. The shortlisted criteria also involved parameters like categories catered
by Vendors, Business Volume/Size dealt by Vendor and previous ratings given to Vendors. ABC and XYZ
decided upon the rating and score to be awarded to each vendor depending on the observations during
the review. ABC agreed to give 2 weeks’ time to vendor to close the highlighted observations so that
they can improvise on their rating and score. ABC represents this data category vise.
