The Brief

Based in Old Tra�ord, Limelight is a purpose built, fully accessible facility created to bene�t residents and the wider community. O�ering a range of fantastic facilities and services, Limelight is aimed at improving health and well-being as well as providing information, advice and support - all under one roof.

Work began in 2017. PFI Signs were initially tasked to provide internal wall and door signs for the residents. PFI Project Sales Consultant, Sue Podmore, met with the Limelight team to discuss the work and, from that meeting, more signage was proposed covering all areas of the site, including internal and external signage as well as temporary and permanent.

The Solution

Through the many meetings between the Limelight team as well as surveys of the site, a number of signage types were introduced. New ideas were also suggested by our Consultant, resulting in an overall sign package that is both practical and also creates a strong delivery of the Limelight brand.

Limelight’s apartments are part of an Extra Care Scheme, which is speci�cally designed to provide care for dementia su�erers and the elderly. With this in mind, Dementia care signage that complies with the recommendations of the dementia charity Stirling, was proposed. This signage is speci�cally adapted to meet the needs of the elderly and people with impaired learning and memory. It is highly e�ective at reducing disorientation and confusion, and helps improve quality of life.

Contravision was also proposed for glazing graphics to provide privacy. These decals were installed for the Hairdressers, Children’s Nursery and the Children’s Library on the ground �oor.

The Result

All signage, from door vinyls to plot cut letters, incorporates Limelight’s unique and eye-catching brand. The hard work of everyone involved demonstrates how much we believe in the service provided by the team at Limelight for the bene�t of the local community of Old Tra�ord.
