A stunning new home, it has 15,000 sq ft of accommodation, 7 bedroom suites, 6 reception rooms, staff accommodation, a choice of both indoor and outdoor pools as well as an all-weather tennis court – what it needed was the finishing touch, the driveway. On the market for £17.5 million, the surface needed to be both functional and exquisite. The house is situated in undulating grounds and the plan included an underground driveway which descended to the garage space below. Whilst the surface chosen had to match the aesthetic requirements of such a prestigious development, it also had to be practical, with special attention paid to the permeability of the surface to ensure that water run-off was controlled and standing water minimized. THE SOLUTION
Having established DekorBound as the surface of choice, the only other decisionto be made was which stone blend to go for. The DekorBound range has anextensive choice of blends – customers can even request specific stones be usedto create a custom blend.
The project designers decided that the Cornfield blend,at a depth of 18mm, was the most suitable and wouldprovide a stunning contrast to the other features of thegarden such as the cobbled intersections and marbleporch, whilst exuding the look and feel of exclusivityand expense.
