Case Report• Gender: Male• Day of birth: 01/03/1956• Coming reason to our clinic: A swelling and discoloration in the

interior side of the buccal mucosa,that has been located there for several years.

Medical History• There is no history of systemic diseases or allergies of the

patient.

Intraoral Examination• A dark red-purple swelling was detected on the right side of

the buccal mucosa. (Diameter=2 cm;0.8 inch)• The lesion was painless.

Intraoral Examination• A Diascopy Test was applied to the lesion and the result came

out as a “Hemangioma”. • Hemangiomas are noncancerous growths that form due to an

abnormal collection of blood vessels. They’re often found on the skin or internal organs, particularly the liver.

Intraoral Examination• Patient's tooth No. 27 was found to be impacted and it was

decided to be surgically removed.

• The Hemangioma was treated with Cryotherapy.• The therapy was applied 2 times with an interval of 2 weeks

between the appointments.

First day of therapy (11/04/2015)

Liquid nitrogen was absorbed by the tissue after the first treatment.

The patient came a week after the first application of Cryotherapy to control the lesion and it was reduced in size. (11/11/2015)

2 weeks later after the first appointment,Cryotherapy was applied again and the lesion continued to reduce its size. (11/18/2015)
