Livscyklus for CradleVent®

The world’s first Cradle to Cradle certified ventilation duct

Textile ducts can be tailored in shape, size and colour to fit the requirements of the room. With textile ductwork you get an efficient and uniform air distribution without “dead zones” and therefore a healthy indoor climate. CradleVent® is the world’s first Cradle to Cradle certified ventilation duct. The certification documents the sustainability of the product and the fact that we take responsibility of its life cycle from Cradle to Cradle, ie. from production to recycling. Flexible tailored solution for a perfect fit To achieve a correct air distribution pattern KE Fibertec was asked to make a 53 degrees angled face on the end of each duct at the perimeter. In this way you can provide adequate air distribution on the raked glazed facade. See the picture above. Like in most other laboratories the KE-Low impulse system was installed as this is very capable of handling large quantities of air with minimal air velocity and noise in the room. The flame retardant fabric has a high dust holding capacity which means longer washing intervals and thus energy savings.

The engineers put forward KE Fibertec as the solution to the architect as they consider KE Fibertec’s product line to be of the highest grade in materials, engineering and appearance. Further, the textile duct solution could be designed to meet the architect’s vision of the duct following the shape of the 53° façade with bespoke end sections.
