MATERIALSLight Weight Yarn
1 skein of one or more colors
Crochet hook, size H (5 mm) or size neededfor gauge
Yarn needle
Optional: snap, button, ribbon, fabric strip,
or hook and loop fastener dot
NOTE: More than one color can be used; change colors as
desired.
GAUGE15 sc and 13 rows = 3" (8.25 cm)
ABBREVIATIONS
ch = chainst = stitch
sc = single crochet
( ) or [ ] contains explanatory remarks.
BODYCh 30; join with slip st to first ch, being careful not to twist ch.
Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 1, sc in each ch around; join with
slip st to Back Loop Only of first sc: 30 sc.
Rnds 2-17: Ch 1, sc in Back Loop Only of each sc around;join with slip st to Back Loop Only of first sc.
Tip: Work fewer or more rows as needed to fit any personal
electronic item.
FLAPRow 1: Ch 1, sc in Back Loop Only of first 15 sc; leave
remaining sc unworked.
Rows 2-7: Ch 1, turn; skip first sc, sc in both loops of each sc
across: 9 sc.
Edging: Ch 1, do not turn; sc in each row across Flap; sc in
both loops of each sc across Body, sc in each row across
Flap and in each st across last row; join with slip st to first sc,
finish off.
FINISHINGTurn Case wrong side out. Thread yarn needle with long end
With right sides together and front and back stitches matchin
sew bottom seam. Turn Case right side out.
HANDLE
Holding 2 strands of yarn together and leaving a long end for
sewing, ch 180; finish off.
Sew handle to inside top edge of case at sides.
Sew the desired closure to the Flap or thread a ribbon throug
a stitch on the Flap and Body and tie in a bow.
Sew a decorative button to the Flap or rip a piece of fabric in
a " wide strip and attach it around a stitch on the Flap; tie i
a bow.
