I am writing to officially re-apply for the vacant seat on the Knott County

Water and Sewer District. I was the first member appointed to the board in 1999. I have served on

district board for 20 years and as Vice Chairman for the last 12 years.

I have accumulated at least 200 hours of PSC trainings hours, including

water district conferences in the past 20 years. In addition to the 20 years

experience, and the 200 hours of PSC trainings, I also have these

qualifications; (A) Masters degree from Morehead State University

(B) retired teacher from Floyd County School District

(C) currently an elected member of the Knott County Board of Education

(D) owned and operated my own business for 19 years.

I am the most qualified person for this position. In 1999, only 8% of Knott

Countians had safe drinking water. As a member of the board, now 85% of

our residents have safe drinking water. In 2009, we built a 20 million dollar

state of the art water treatment plant at Vicco, Ky. we now supply water to

Letcher County, Perry County, Floyd County, and the City of Hindman. We

have come a long way in 20 years.

In closing, I would be honored to finish my term on the board. If you have
