PreparingOur Students. . .
From the Superintendent
Don Johnson,
Educational Excellence is a core value at Cascade Christian Schools. It is therefore necessary to continue to maintain a high-quality academic program. This is done, in part, through CCS being accountable through accreditation with and participation in several organizations.
Cascade Christian Schools is approved by the State Board of Education, and accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) through AdvanceED and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). Our early learning program is licensed through the Washington State Department of Early Learning, and we participate in Washington Early Achievers, Washington’s quality rating and improvement system. We are a member school of the Washington Federation of Independent Schools (WFIS).
Accredited Academic Program
With a Biblical Worldview
It’s not about teaching a Bible class. At Cascade Christian Schools, a Biblical Worldview is integrated into every curriculum, subject and activity.
A Well-rounded Educational ExperienceCascade Christian Schools knows that school is not just about academics, and that students need to have a well-rounded experience which prepares them for both their next level of education and for life. Therefore, students at each stage of their Cascade Christian Schools experience learning through focus on four areas…
Spiritual Formation. . .God’s truths are integrated into every aspect of the child’s personal, social, academic, and spiritual growth, teaching all subjects from a biblical worldview.
Academic Excellence. . .At Cascade Christian Schools, excellence is defi ned as a sustained, dedicated pursuit of God-given potential. In our learner-focused environments, we strive to prepare, motivate and inspire all students to have a positive approach to lifelong, discovery learning.
Personal and Social Maturity. . .Cascade Christian Schools focuses on developing godly attitudes and character traits through our positive behavior training based on the 3 R’s of Respect, Responsibility and Relationship.
Leadership. . .Cascade Christian Schools is dedicated to developing discerning Christian leaders who will be well equipped to impact their world for Christ. Through classroom and program venues, children are intentionally given opportunities to develop and hone their leadership skills.
CORE VALUES
BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW INTEGRATION
LEADERSHIP
EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE
UNITY
Young learners at our Child Care and Preschool campuses are prepared for Kindergarten readiness and school success through our developmentally appropriate focus on Reading and Writing, Language and Literacy, Numbers and Math, Science, Art and Music.
Through a multi-sensory approach, our “Get Set for School” curriculum addresses diff erent learning styles through engaging lessons that invite active hands-on participation.
Children grow personally and socially as they develop self-help skills, the ability to problem-solve and resolve confl icts, and empathy for others.

EARLY LEARNING CENTERS
“Every employee my family
has interacted with makes us
feel welcome and at home.
Having my fi rst-born start
preschool was an anxious
but exciting time for us and
knowing that my daughter
is being taken care of while
she’s at CCS soothes my
heart. I also love the open
communication between the
teachers/staff and my family.
We knew we wanted to have
both our children grow up
in the Cascade Christian
system and this experience
has reaffi rmed that we are not
going anywhere else.”

Preschool with Child Care
Preschool only
Early learners are provided with beginning leadership opportunities that allow them to make choices, speak in front of a class, volunteer to serve, complete assigned responsibilities, and take appropriate risks.
A biblical worldview is integrated throughout all curricular areas, and students participate in chapel times, bible lessons, and prayer times to nurture their faith.
Activities and environments are designed to develop large and fi ne motor skills, as well as visual motor skills. There is ample time incorporated into each day for exercise on outdoor playgrounds and indoor play areas.
An elementary education at Cascade Christian provides strong academics in the basics of reading, language arts, and mathematics, as well as a solid foundation in social studies and science, all taught from the perspective of a biblical worldview.
Art, music, physical education, computer, and athletics are also a part of the curricular process during, as well as after, regular school hours, in our vibrant Extended School Program. Various classroom activities, weekly chapels, and other school events provide students with opportunities for creativity, service, and leadership development.
Active partnership between the elementary and junior high campuses means that each student from each elementary campus is actively being prepared for their CCS Junior High experience.

ELEMENTARY
“The whole environment is
positive and friendly. The
before/after school program
and enrichment classes are
second to none. My daughter
receives a great education
during the day and personal
interest/enrichment in the
afternoon. For parents with
busy schedules, this is ideal.”

Besides a great education and preparation for the work force, students at Cascade Christian Schools are encouraged to pursue friendships that will last a lifetime. But more importantly, they are encouraged to pursue their own personal relationship with Christ.
A yearly conference, weekly chapels, opportunities to participate on worship team, in Bible study, and the chance to participate in Impact Term — a week of service to the community, the nation, and sometimes the world — are just some of the ways students come to know how they fi t in to the body of Christ.
Prepared for Life. . .
Athletics at CCS are not “extra-curricular” — they are part of the mission. They are not just an opportunity to compete, but another opportunity to lead and be an example to their classmates and to their community.
Coaches are trained to be consistent with the mission and purpose of CCS, and to work to develop the athletes’ physical skills along with their personal and spiritual growth.
Athletics are available at all levels, from the littlest taking part in soccer enrichment classes to the State Championship-level athletics of the High School.

In the Community. . .Students at CCS start contributing to their community early through Feet to Faith programs at the elementary school, and continuing through Junior High and High School I-term (Impact Term) week. On the Stage. . .The purpose of our Creative Arts Program is for students to fulfi ll their passion and purpose before God through their creative uniqueness. Inherent in this process is the opportunity for students to learn and grow as artists and leaders.
All Early Learning and Elementary students participate in music class. At the Elementary, Junior High and High School levels, students are off ered various band and choir opportunities. The fundamentals of music include the study of history, theory, technical application, appreciation and interpretation, and creative design.
