Human Characteristics of Michigan

One of Michigan's characteristics comes from one of the nicknames (the wolverine state), wolf hunting. They also have farming. North Carolina (where we live) does not have wolf hunting, but it does have farming.

The Biomes of Michigan

Like we said this slide has the biomes of Michigan, but this also has the biomes of two states near it, Indiana and Ohio.

Environmental Problems of Michigan

Oil Spills In Michigan may people are taking oil boats

and they are spilling it into Lake Michigan and the people who are responsible for the

spill don’t even bother to try to clean it up!!! It is killing many animals and plants. We

should try to clean it up or even not go by boat, maybe even by truck or plane!

How It Effects The AnimalsAll of the animals who live in Lake Michigan

are dying. Even deer who are drinking this water are dying! These animals have not done anything to deserve this horrible thing. They deserve a healthy environment, not one with oil every where they look around the lake. Oil spills are destroying their homes and killing their families.

How It Effects The Plants

All of the plants that relies on Lake Michigan for water are dying because of all of the oil that is spilling in the water and it is like poison to the plants. Also all of the plants in the water are also dying, but even faster then the ones on land because it is closer and reaches them faster.

How It Effects Us If we keep on spilling oil in the lake it will

sooner or later poison the air and it will be very unhealthy if we breath it in and we will get very sick or even die! Again it also kills plants and we will not be able to farm and or harvest.

How We Can Help We can help by driving by truck or even

transport all that oil by plane, or if we spill we should try to clean it up before it spreads throughout the entire state!
