Violence, swine flu and a slowing economy have virtually brought tourism in Northern Mexico to a standstill. All of Mexico has been shaken and there seems to be no end in sight. We have been seeking God about this current season in Mexico and feel that He has been giving us a word for the people of Mexico. God wants to pour out His Spirit of salvation, healing and power on those who truly seek and serve Him. God continues to show us the passion and fire that the Mexican people have when their hearts are truly yielded to the Lord. God wants to fan that fire and to spread it throughout the nations, even into the U.S. We believe that God wants to raise up a generation of Mexican missionaries who have the fire of the Holy Spirit so evident in their lives that God’s presence is felt by those passing them on the street. We believe that many of these missionaries have not yet been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is an exciting time in Mexico and we believe God’s power and might is about to be revealed to the nations through Mexico. Orphanage Church Daycare

Exciting Season for Mexico You’ve all seen the news. Violence, swine flu and a slowing economy have virtually brought tourism in Northern Mexico to a standstill. New Projects, Continued economy, they have begun laying people off. Even though Imuris is on the main road south to Mexico City, there is great poverty just a block or two from the highway. From our discussions and contacts, we have decided to pursue two project areas at this time. IMURIS CHURCH First, we are coming alongside Arturo and Lilia as they work to make the Imuris Church a community center to try and meet the needs of their area and touch the people with the love of Jesus. One project they are working on is a library/computer room where children from the community can come and do homework, plus learn basic computer skills. They currently have a vacant room in the daycare that they are looking to convert into the library. Needs for the library include paint, floor tiles, shelves and 2 computers with printers and supplies.

In July, we will be helping Arturo and Lilia with a “VBS” for the children of their community, plus another one in August for a community South of Imuris. Last year, they had over 130 children from both communities. They are in need of supplies for the VBS which include crafts, school supplies and prizes for the children. MAGDALENA AMBULANCE The ambulances in Mexico are underfunded and mostly volunteer based. Magdalena is on the major highway that runs south from Nogales to Mexico City with a high volume of truck traffic bound for the U.S. This is a very dangerous highway and there have been many serious and often fatal accidents as witnessed by the white crosses and memorials alongside the highway. In talking with the ambulance commander, we found they are in great need of additional equipment to go with their

newly donated “Jaws of Life”. We have been working with the commander on that list and have determined that the basic equipment he is looking for would total approximately $1,500. This includes items such as life-safety rope, harnesses, extrication prying tool, porta-power and reciprocal saw. Since most of this equipment comes from specialized emergency services vendors, we are looking for financial support and Dave will purchase them from his contact list. We are excited to be a part of God’s harvest in Mexico and we find our prayers for open doors and divine appointments are being answered on a regular basis. Please keep these people and projects in your prayers and if you feel that God is directing you to meet any of the listed needs for these projects, please contact us.
