Open Every Day of the Year from 12 – 2.30 and 7 – 9.30. Offers emotional support and practical information. All helpline workers receive accredited training in providing

specialist support to survivors of sexual violence. Provides support and information to: female survivors,

partners, family, friends, other support agencies. Receives approximately 5,000 calls per month.

Fully qualified and experienced counsellors. Member of the British Association for Counselling and

Psychotherapy. Clients seen for initial meeting within 7 days of receiving their self

assessment. Current waiting list 4 months for evening appointments. Therapeutic Groups including self esteem workshops, anger

Rape Crisis Specialist Counselling

Support for clients in South London who have reported to the police and are going through the legal system.

Service includes attending SARCS, Police appointments, Court Proceedings.

Court familiarisation, explaining legal process and providing information.

Emotional and practical information and support. Offers short term grounding sessions for women pre-trial. Offers direct links into specialist counselling at RASASC.

clearly staged (BDSM) V claims of authenticity (RP); hints of consent (BDSM) V non-consensual/forced (RP); women as active & passive players (BDSM) V Women always victims (RP); seemingly pleasure in pain (BDSM) V No pleasure, only pain (RP).
