Caron Compactor was founded in the late 1960s after founder Fred Caron developed a self-propelled steel-wheeled soil and land�ll compactor which was later sold to Rexworks - the predecessor of Terex. From soil to land�lls, Mr. Caron brought his knowledge of the dynamics of compaction to the solid waste disposal industry.

Although Fred Caron passed away in 1980, his legacy lives on as the company grew with his son Jim Caron as the President and CEO, later to be joined by his wife, Judy Caron, as Vice President of Administration. Caron Compactor is recognized throughout the world as an industry leader due to the introduction of compaction wheels with high-alloy, replaceable “Pin-On®” wheel caps. Caron Wheels with Pin-On® Teeth are today marketed internationally on a full range of Caterpillar land�ll compactors. The Caron Choice in Compaction

The Caron High Density 826C/G/H Wheel measures 40" in width as compared to the standard 47-1/4" Caron Wheel. The standard wheel for the CAT 836H measures 55" in width, the Caron High Density Wheel for the

836H measures 51”. While some operators rely on the higher production capabilities associated with the standard width wheels, others have found the narrower design o�ers greater density – placing the weight over a more concentrated area to increase compactive force and e�ectiveness.
