FARMERS MARKET

Launched in 1934, Farmers Market became the central

meeting place for Angelenos. Today, “Meet me at 3rd and

Fairfax” is one of the most common phrases in southern

California. According to the L.A. Times, Farmers Market is the

#1 place in L.A. to spot celebrities! The market features

nearly 100 shops and eateries and its 1941 clock tower is now

a world-famous icon.

LA SIGHTSEEING

Visit Olvera Street, the Mexican marketplace located in one of

the oldest streets in Los Angeles. Drive through the posh

Beverly Hills and Bel-Air Estates areas to get a glimpse of the

homes of some of Hollywood’s stars. Continue along famous

Rodeo Drive where beautiful mansions and exclusive shops

showcase the lifestyles of the rich and famous. See Mann’s

Chinese Theater where stars’ hands or footprints have been

immortalized. Some have imprinted their trademarks (John

Wayne’s fist and Jimmy Durante’s nose) while others have left

personal messages. The Hollywood Bowl and Sunset Strip are

featured as well.

Sunday, December 29 Rehearsal/Universal Studios

REHEARSAL

This morning there will be a rehearsal for the BandFest and

for the Parade at a local High School.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Spend an action-packed day “behind the scenes”. Learn

movie-making secrets and take advantage of the special

effects that allow you to become a star! Adjacent to the

Studios is Universal City Walk with unique restaurants,

incredible shops and a variety of street performers. Stop in

Wizardz for its contemporary look, complete with neon laser

lights, lightning bolts and a 20-foot wizard hat and wand!

as six specially-invited bands from around the nation perform

for boosters and fans in this thrilling field show exhibition

the Tournament of Roses Parade. The Excitement begins!

TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE

This world-famous 5.5-mile parade of beauty takes place

along Pasadena's Colorado Boulevard. The parade features

bands from throughout the country and some of the most

spectacular floats imaginable! This is a favorite for millions

who set time aside every year to view this nationally televised

event.

The rest of the afternoon will be some time to relax.
