The local pub is within walking distance and the village hall is always very busy. Our children have all worked at the nearby family-run farm shop and it’s just a short drive into Bedford which has a good choice of shops and restaurants, as well as some lovely parks and the beautiful embankment.”

“Carlton House comes with a lot of land that is perfect for family gatherings, including sports days and wedding celebrations, along with 18th and 50th birthday parties. It’s also very peaceful and we enjoy relaxing in the hot tub area and in the gazebo, which is fully equipped with lighting and heating. We love watching the muntjac deer and the family of pheasants who stroll around without a care in the world. It’s amazing to wake up to the sound of our very own morning chorus in the summer and we will certainly miss that.”

“We all tend to congregate in the kitchen during the day before heading into the lounge in the evening where we can relax in front of the open fire whilst reading a book or watching tv. There’s plenty of room for us to be together or to go off and do our own thing, it’s a great house for a family. We will miss the space both inside and out, as well as the peace and quiet. It has been an idyllic setting for our children to grow up in and we hope that another family will be as happy here as we have been,” conclude the current owners.
